All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t make this pub that much fun. In short, it’s just another ‘standard English pub’ on this street filled with standard English pubs. Do they buy all their carpets and furniture from the same place? 1. Bad. They charged me 50 pence to pay on card so that made my cider £5.10. Are you serious? This is 2015, sort your payment systems out. 2. Bad. Tiny grim toilets. 3. Bad. No music. Or sound of any kind. But you can pay £1 to get a couple of songs on the jukebox. Wow. 4. Great crisp selection. Walkers cheese and onion AND two kinds of Monster Munch. This pub’s saving grace.

I thought I was being too generous with my ratings for now, but actually no, I was just keeping that 1 star for such a splendid occasion. We came to the place by chance because we wanted to find a place to plan our evening! And even during a great game there was barely anyone in the bar, probably around ten persons that were the less excited soccer fans I have ever witnessed. They all left at the end of the game and we stayed only the four of us in the pub. With the bartender it was not about whether he is nice or not, it is just that he genuinely didn’t care. At some point he was even too bored to stand up and just took a seat in the room to watch the game. At least, he took the time the clean one table before doing so, however he should have kept going and clean the whole pub… And finally the greatest sin of all, my tap beer was tepid! I have a few curses to describe my feelings but I won’t do it since I don’t want to wake up anyone in that pub! Only two good points, my friend got to drink her favourite cider in a bottle from the same brand she was so excited and we have seen the oldest cash register I have seen in my life!

There’s nothing particularly special about this pub. It’s just fine, though I prefer other pubs around. It was incredibly busy on Thursday evening, so much so we ended up standing outside. Probably not always the sort of place you’d want to go if it’s cold out: P You don’t want to shiver in the cold in order to be ‘comfortable’

This is a small but busy pub at the heart of the Great Titchfield Street shopping area in Fitzrovia. The pub was the retreat of TV journalists. Trivia: Newscaster Reginald«Boozie» Bosanquet was barred from here for demanding to be served ahead of others in the 1970s when the ITN studio was opposite in Wells Street. The Kings Arms is featured on the Fitzrovia Crawl

This isn’t the best pub in the world(but you’re in the back area of Fiztrovia, the pubs all seem the same). But it does have one thing going for it: the service is quick. It somehow manages to be packed outside, but there isn’t a massive queue to get to the bar. In fact I’ve only ever waited a few minutes to get served. But considering how busy it is, this is always a shock. I think I prefer The Green Man(the next pub down Riding House Street), but if you know the area, you’ll know how quickly it gets busy on a Friday evening. So I’m impressed with this place. It might not be the best boozer in the area, and it’s nothing to write home about(you wouldn’t come here unless you were in the area), but y’know, I think I’ll be back. Beer was alright — I was drinking pints of Star so I was happy, but I think they only have one cider. If I remember rightly it was Strongbow. As I’m not a cider drinker, I don’t know if that’s a good thing. Unless of course someone can tell me of a great pub in the area that you can actually get to the bar in

Average. We go here a lot after work and it is aways thick with people(ummm that crowd is likely us :-D). It is really average though and I highly recommend walking the block along to the Green Man where you can get some interesting ciders!
