Konditor & Cook are a chain and while you find that some chain’s loose the quality of their products when they start to branch out and expand, I’m very happy to report that this isn’t the case here. This continues to be the best carrot I have ever had… and I love carrot cake, having tried a few in my lifetime. Moist, delicious cake with just the perfect amount of frosting… and I have to admit that I adore the passion fruit twist to this traditional favourite. Whilst some may sneer at the price — you’re looking at around £4 a slice… I believe that every bite is worth the cost — and aren’t treats supposed to be that — treats — right? Friendly staff and a lot of options — if you can move past your carrot cake addiction to try their other offerings… including chocolate brownies. With a selection of interesting takes on these, I also can’t help have a huge thing for these too. Other smaller options are great if you don’t want a big slice of cake to satisfy your sugar urges, they have some lovely little chocolate cake bites which also call to me on a regular basis. They also make up birthday and other celebration cakes, so if you want to treat your loved ones to something nice, rather than the waxy options you get at so many other places, I’d suggest looking into this. And if anyone is interested, my birthday is at the latter end of the year btw *hint*.
