Best lunch place around by miles. Delicious home-made sandwiches with selection of bread — olive, ciabatta, bloomer etc. Delicious pasta and all the usual staples you’d expect from a salumeria — sundried tomatoes, olives, peppers, dried pasta, olive oil. The couple who run this place are very nice. This is their 29th year in business so certainly doing something right! Looking forward to the 30th anniversary :)

This place is fast becoming my favourite place to grab lunch. I get there early so I have yet to be met with the queue and the food has been marvellous. I literally cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

Nice local italian sandwich shop. Rammed in the weekday with the local office workers around the area. Be aware that this place is cash only and price are about the same as pret.

After reading some o the other reviews here I feel a bit under-qualified to write one for this restaurant having visited just once and having no idea what is meant by ‘authentic Italian’. But looking at the queue when I got there at around 2pm for lunch I was flabbergasted. Close to 15 people waiting patiently to be served. And the food was being prepared right then and there. The food was amazing — make no mistake — but I do have a gripe and that is I didn’t have much time to talk and understand what the different things were since I am not well acquainted with Italian cuisine. But considering how awesome the food is, I’m definitely going back there and I am quite determined to try out different stuff to get a better idea of what the different tastes are.

I have been going here every single day for lunch during my 10-day London work visit. The staff is fun, patient, and approachable. The food is simply as it should be: fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and excellent execution. I love walking into a restaurant knowing that I can order whatever I feel like, because they prepare everything well *across the board*. Rest easy and explore the menu! An Italian deli done right, glad to see they are doing well.

I ve been going to Dino s for the past few years as it resembles a proper Italian salumeria or deli as english say. Being italian it s like a family feel when i get in there. Dino is a good man and his wife Fernanda, who works along side him, is so lovely with her smile. The place is tiny but full of proper italian delicacies as you would find in Italy. It s, lovely, easy going, and unpretencious. What to say about the food you find in there? Well Fernanda cooks the most amazing pasta dishes, and both makes in front of you succulent variety of ciabatta, focaccia breads filled with the freshest and good quality fillings. And so reasonably prices compared what you get around the area. Coffe, especially espresso(damn i ve been off espresso for so many months cos need to stay off caffeine, but i do miss it!!!) it s the best… and all the italian biscuits, pastas and jarred and canned stuff. i love it even more during xmas and easter time with all panettoni, pandori, torroni, panforte di siena(my favourite) and easters eggs, filling and colouring the shop. It remind my childhood. Thank Dino e Fernanda for your commitend, hard, honest, daily work you keep putting in it, to give the best service to people who really deserve to eat well but without all that fuss. And i love when english people can appreciate our simple, genuine italian food. Marco

What an awesome little deli! This great little, Italian owned, place is half Italian minimarket and half sandwich/pasta shop. I came here with my girlfriend for lunch and we got an amazing mozzarella, parma ham & avocado sandwich on olive bread. We also tried their spaghetti meatballs and OHMYGOD where they good? Yes, yes they were. Well recommended.

Working around Goodge St is a curse and a blessing — the phrase spoilt for choice springs to mind, but some of those choices are a red herring. After 3 weeks working here, I’d finally tired of Abokado soup or sushi(it’s an addiction, I’m getting help) and so one lunchtime, I set off for a tour of the block to find food. Berated by a colleague for choosing first Eat, then Pret, she steered me towards Dinos. Pretty poor that I’ve never made it here in the 8 years on and off living and working nearby — but it is tucked away. Worth finding! A fantastic independent deli, with decent prices and fresh ingredients, some of it put into homemade dishes like stuffed aubergine and arancini(risotto balls). The queue at lunchtimes is testament to its popularity, but it’s worth waiting. Huge chunks of ciabatta or focaccia get filed with fresh mozarella, roasted peppers and parma ham, grilled, and wrapped up in 2 minutes flat for a perfect lunch. If you’re me, that is — obviously you can order other stuff too… Just order by number from the blackboard, or point at the dishes on display. Definitely skip the homogenous rubbish round the corner for friendly fast service and delicious food.(Unless you have a sushi addicition, this is an Italian deli after all).

Excellent. Decent coffee at a reasonable price and really good sandwiches using proper rustic ciabatta(not the silly bits of nothing you get in places like Nero). Sandwiches are made while you wait. You can choose your own combination of fillings and there are none of those mixes swamped in mayonaise. I recommend trying spicy salami, provolone and rocket as a filling. Dino also does two versions of stuffed aubergine. This makes a very filling meal in a ciabatta. If you are in the area, give it a go.

Like many who have worked on Goodge St, Dino was my lunch saviour. I have had Italian sandwiches here so often that if you knock me down and cut me open I’ll bleed Dino. I’d be there everyday in the short queue looking up and down at the freshly made arancinis, pastas, chicken cutlets and other Italian classics but never deviating from the sandwich menu and never choosing anything other than«No.1 on ciabatta, not toasted» Recipe: 1. Cut a slab of fresh ciabatta about the size of a Sony PlayStation 2. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil 3. Layer with slices of wet mozzarella 4. Layer with fresh cut prosciutto 5. Layer with handfuls of fresh basil leaves 6. Give it to Tom E Sounds amazing, right? It is. And Dino charges you less than many of the plastic-encased sandwiches at Pret or Eat for so much more. You won’t need crisps or anything else to complete your lunch. One Dino’s sandwich should suffice, but I bet you’ll still be tempted to get some of the other Italian goodies in his shop. It’s hard not to.

Salumeria Dino is a shop and a restaurant, or is it the other was around? They serve great typical Italian dishes, for lunch, like risotto, pizza, all very delicious and at a very good price. The space is super tiny so it gets really packed at lunchtime, there is almost always a queue. Inside its probable you will see some Italian people enjoying food of coffee, and you know if they go it’s probably because it resembles what they actually eat on Italy. Also let me recommend the coffee, its good and strong, if you like espresso you’ll be in heaven.

Nom nom nom nom nom! I like! One the the great things about working on Charlotte Street is that I never get bored at lunchtime. Dinos is perfect. I found it this afternoon and I’ve just tucked into a huge portion of chicken and mushroom risotto. It was yummy! I actually prefer my risotto to be creamier, but it tasted so good that I didn’t mind! The place itself is tiny, they do lots of paninis and stuff and there were a few Italian people in the queue which is always a good sign. What makes this place stand out is that it’s not just a lunchtime café/deli. It’s actually an Italian grocery shop too. You can pick up anything from pasta to(no doubt very expensive) imported cakes and biscuits. You can pick up a good lunch for less than a fiver. I like this little shop a lot. I’m not sure about five stars yet as I’d like to try some more things. The shop is so small and there’s only a couple of tables, but instead of that being a bad thing, I think it just adds to the charm.
