Just a quick review here as I only ran in for some takeaway cookies. The café appeared quaint and quite popular and my 7 minutes of interactions with the staff was quite pleasant! Only downfall was that I had requested the chocolate/nut cookies and found when I arrived at my friends that they mistakenly gave me raison cookies instead — for that a 3-star rating but hope to pop in again for a decent Italian lunch when next in Chelsea.

Nice Italian café, close to the wonderful Saatchi gallery. Will give 5 stars as soon as they throw out their microwave. Meat lasagna with cucumber, tomato, basil salad and a Birra Morretti, yum!

Enjoyed the lunch we had. Service was friendly and fast, and food was good. The place is small but was able to sit down for our meal.

I’ll have a macchiato and a conversational Italian refresher, grazie! I came for an early morning meeting, a coffee, and a pain au chocolat. All three went about as well as I could have hoped for having them at 8am. I have thanked my stars on several occasions for the proximity of this more-than-decent Italian café to Sloane Square, which I pass through perhaps ten times a week. This branch of La Bottega is in my work neighborhood, and I think it’s an elegant solution for a casual business or social meeting point without having to brave the buzzy hits and swinging misses of the King’s Road. The take-away deli food is slightly pricey and not spectacular, but it does the trick when I need an upgrade from Pret en route to the station. There are heat lamps for the outside tables, and the service is super friendly – I got complimented on what I call my «café Italian,» in which I am fairly fluent(speak panini to me). All in all, I am a fan of anywhere that provides me convenience with style, and I always enjoy some foreign language skill flattery! A dopo, La Bottega.

This review is for my visits to the Ecclestone Street branch of the same group. This is exactly what I want from an Italian deli; there is a range of food available throughout the day including salads, sandwiches and mains. I especially like the grilled ham and taleggio foccacia — the closest I’ve tasted to what I’ve had in Rome; why is it apparently so difficult to get taleggio in London delis?! The Illy coffee is spot-on, the Americano rich and dark topped with lovely crema and served in a nice small cup. To accompany it, choose from the wide selection of Italian cakes and pastries. Service is very good, efficient and friendly.

Straight up Italian deliciousness. More functional café than deli, the fresh lunch options are fantastic. Some of the best deli food I’ve had, and great value too. A salad plate with cold meats and a moussaka with bread and a couple of drinks came in at just under £20. It’s away from Sloane Square, and you’re unlikely to happen across it unless aimlessly wandering the streets of Belgravia and Chelsea, but it is worth the quick detour if in the area! The guys behind the counter are very knowledgeable and you’ll likely come away with a bag full of goodies when you leave. MMM… biscotti.

This is a really lovely deli. Both tables inside and out, with a bustling atmosphere, but not too crowded as to feel rushed or squished next to your other patrons(at least at the time we were there, around 1:00pm). The selection of food was nice, ranging from hot pasta and meat dishes, toasted sandwiches, and cold salads and deli meats. I was quite impressed with the quality of the food. The ingredients seemed very fresh and everything was well seasoned and assembled. I ordered Aubergine Parmigiana and salad, and I was especially pleased at the assortment of salads that came with my dish. 3 different kinds, everything from radish and fennel to fresh cherry tomato and a corn, carrot, and arugula(rocket) mixture. The service here was great, considering it is a busy café and our waiter seemed to be covering all the tables. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Before we left I also picked up a small bag of jam cookies, which I am currently munching on while writing this review, and they are, very very nummy.

This review is for their shop in Chelsea, not the one in Belgravia(I think there’s an address issue here) but I wholeheartedly concur with Miss Caroline, below. We just happened upon this little piece of heaven quite by accident. I’ve had similar faire throughout Italy, New York and San Francisco; Albeit this place by far has to be the best Italian deli food I have had in a very very long time. We ordered a variety of sandwiches, salads, and olives(I think the olives were complimentary actually). The place is somewhat cramped by American standards, but with this level of fantasmicgourmandelights, who cares. Oh, and we sat next to Charo who departed driving a black Bentley Rolls. :)

I went here for lunch today and had an amazing meal. Although it isn’t cheap, it is considerably cheaper than its fellow restaurants in Chelsea, where it is usually unusual to eat for less than £20. It was lunchtime and busy so I grabbed the only table available which was outside. I didn’t mind because it wasn’t cold out but the man behind the counter was so sweet and came out to tell me when a table inside became free. He knew everything about all the produce inside, and I went for ricotta and spinach cannelloni. It came with a choice of delicious fresh salads and I got rocket, tomato and pesto. My meal came to £5.60 which was such a bargain considering it was the best food I’d had in weeks. Go here if you can, it is only a two minute walk from Sloane Square tube stop everything about it is perfect.
