Leighton Tandoori

A proper local curry house. Charlie the proprietor has been a member of the community for decades and is a favourite amongst locals in the know. Good price, naan breads as big as blankets, and curries are fresh in flavour. If you ask nicely they might give let you sample their personal stash of home made chillies too.

With only room for 24 people, this hole-​in-​the-​wall Indian Restaurant and take away will keep the locals bellies full.
The staff, of which I am assuming the owners, were fantastic! Swift service, great starters (the samosas were light on the fry and golden delicious), amazing prices and portions, were happy with substitutions and changes to orders, and provided my empty stomach with enough food to cause me to role down the street. Having ordered the Tandoori King Prawn Jalfrezi I was pleased to find the dish on the hot side where other restaurants tend to mellow their «hot» items and a single nan was large enough to feed 3 – 4 adults.
You can expect some lovely free nibbles in the beginning as well as some orange slices to clean your palate and lovely chocolate mints to top it all off.
I will be coming back again, and I can tell you any late night with friends will consist of large quantities on take away.
