5⁄5 stars in Timeout pulled me into this place, but I was left disappointed. My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and whilst we had a lovely evening, the food wasn’t great and the service was poor. The place is quite quaint and we were greeted warmly to start with. The wine list is a good one and we had a fantastic Rioja. The food was very average and where it got its 5⁄5 starts from Timeout I’ll never know. The chef seemed more interested in presentation than taste. And despite ordering 6 tapas(at about 8 quid a pop) there was barely enough to eat. The staff were nice enough, but we had to fight to get their attention(something that gets right on my wick) despite the place not being particularly busy. It’s got a nice ambience and the wine is excellent. But it stops there. The food is jusk ok and not cheap. Poor VFM. Frankly I wouldn’t bother.
