I paid over $ 5 for an adorable Hello Kitty cupcake. The cupcake itself was very dry(makes me suspect they aren’t baked fresh daily as I purchased mine at 9AM), the frosting itself was more decorative than tasty(def not buttercream, but more like plastic), and the burly woman who helped me was somewhat brusque. Would def not recommend for anyone looking for moist, yummy cupcakes, especially at their prices.

This little Lola’s Cupcakes window stand/shop in Covent Garden is adorable and the cupcakes are a sweet treat for a long day’s walk. It can be easily overlooked with all the hustle and bustle going on in Covent Garden. I only tried the red velvet and chocolate, both satisfying my sweet tooth. I hear they make Hello Kitty cupcakes! I didn’t see them displayed or else I would have bought them!

Simply divine! Although my friend, whilst in search for the shop, walked for an hour to find it despite the fact that it was in Waterloo station all along!!! What a silly old dear! Also she only bought 4, despite the fact that there were 5 of us at the knitting gathering — but to be fair to her one of the friends was a bit disrespectful and didn’t reply to the group chat(ohh get me up to date with Facebook!)

mmmmmmmm *wipes drool from my knee caps* Right, so this is cupcakes heaven, yes there’s enough frosting to re-ice a cake but that’s the best part! These are guilty cupcakes, if you crash your friends car, stop, eat one of these and pretend you know nothing about it. They have a wide range of flavours and they’re always fresh. Yummy!

This Lola’s Cupcake Stand was adorable though pricey. I tried the Tiramisu Cupcake and fell in love with it. As someone who’s normally a tiramisu fan, this cupcake did not disappoint. The frosting was a luxurious texture and the cake base was the perfect level of moist. Unfortunately, the price was a bit expensive for my usual taste but I’d definitely go back for more treats once in a while! ADVICE: Go on a sunny day! It’s an outdoor stand with no seating, just a quick grab-and-go. Neal’s Yard is down the street & around the corner so check out that quirky area of London while you’re there too!

This place is tiny, and even knowing exactly where it was, I still managed to walk past it. Before we get to the cakes and what they taste like, let me just say that the display cabinet is a sight to behold, really beautiful when filled with delicious sugaryness — doesn’t stay that way for long. Most of the time there are 2 people crammed into the tiny space behind the counter so service is timely. Apparently they have 2 different types of cupcake topping: butter cream and cream cheese(for those of you looking for something a little less sweet). After asking for one that was not too sweet, my eyes got the better of me and I went for the dark chocolate and caramelised pecan cupcake… Devine. Shame there is nowhere nearby to sit down, it is almost impossible to eat those cakes and drink a coffee as you walk without putting half of it on your face — which I did.
