So I’m like 18 right? and I had to go out with my mates for the first time since finishing uni for the summer, everybody had changed but we all still loved the home, so decided to go to this place we’d heard about called LGB(Lower Ground Bar), back then you could smoke indoors, and it made it even cooler then a secret bar would normally do to an 18-year-old. SO the years passed and my alcoholic consumption at the LGB grew.(especially after the sunday quiz night in the Railway). But my senses came round and I start seeing too many underhanded things and my friends where falling into bad habits. After getting my drink wrong for the hundredth time i decided not go as frequent. Post-Smoking Ban, the Lower Ground Bar has had try and realign itself, the clientele vary greatly. On Wednesday’s they have a Jazz night and they do other stuff there to. Weekends are for teen-ravers from the nearest estates in there demanding red and green shots. I often get caught up in the shenanigans of the locals. Basically, if you do go there, go in the week, or sundays

A great place for after hours drinking. It is small and can be tricky to get into sometimes because it has a memberhip policy. I have had good nights in there, ones I can remember and ones that are blurry. The staff are friendly and the bouncer have a particular charm. I would recommend this place if you are out with friends rather than on a romantic date.
