Beautiful ambiance, great menu, excellent food. Stunning hotel. Will go back, for sure.

I love love this place. The service is out of this world. I once was sitting alone and they brought me magazines. They remember my name and do everything for you to have a wonderful meal. I love the food too, but first and foremost the amazing hospitality.

It’s a shame most of the reviews of this restaurant are older. I wasn’t wowed first time or two I went when Corinthia Hotel in which it’s located first opened. But wow. I went back this time and looked at the menu and knew I had to try it. There were so many things I wanted to try and I was wondering why this restaurant hadn’t popped first few times around. Had a fabulous meal of homemade pasta with shrimp and lemon; another evening a riff on rustica with sausage. I had their artichoke salad, the carpaccio, and ended up eating there a third time, at the bar. Food is fresh, excellent, service fabulous. All great. Turns out the chef is new — came from Milan in August and is was hired by one of the most famous italian chefs in europe who owns many restaurants in the region including this one. Ingredients are all locally sourced, chef has relationships with suppliers who sends him what’s fresh and he works with that on the menu. Charceuterie was introduced on the menu and the options are fabulous. The carpaccio to die for. I could go on and on. What was a disappointment is now one of the best italian restaurants in London. They have done a great job and I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful space… but on a global basis, the food was below par for what they are seeing to attain. Good, but not special. For example they have a Pinot Noir on the rather limited by the glass list… it was not good, i mentioned this to the wine steward, who agreed… then why have it as one of only 6 options? Service is attentive, food needs to improve.

Again, an American in London may find this menu a bit odd. This is a beautiful restaurant, with a great wine list, and quiet, understated service. If you only need a salad and some pasta, this will work just fine for you. The tagliatelle with rabbit ragu was very nice, and the brunello was superb. Only three stars because I had trouble finding something on the menu that jumped at me. The caprese salad was nice, with a bit of a twist on the original form.

You would never know this restaurant was part of a hotel. Just excellent all around. Great ambience. Mussels soup, calamari, rabbit pappardelle… all great. If you are near Trafalgar a must go!

considering the prices, and the fact it wasn’t particularly busy, I felt the service was a little patchy. very friendly but not as good as it could be. we had the £30 set menu, 3 courses and a wine. calamari was good, not great, not tough but not that soft either. my misses had the chickpea soup which was bad, thick, bland. this was all rectified by the hake, amazing, and the crab tagliolini which despite being butter dipped was beautiful. the wines chosen for us were great too. the space is amazing, the fixtures and fittings are stunning. take a look around and soak that up. i wouldn’t pay a la carte prices but by the looks of those doing so, the bank was paying. worth a set menu for a romantic dinner. peace.

First meal(lunch) we had in London and it was«meh»…okay food, rather expensive, attentive service. Better restaurants around.

Very surprised to FTR one of London’s «blooming» restaurant– according to Conde Nast Traveller. Well, considering it has existed in London for exactly 1 year now, and wasn’t teeming on a Thursday night, I would say it didn’t quite hit the«hip”/ «cool» or «good food» radar of London’s foodie network. Which is a shame. From the beautiful David Collin’s interior(oh and that didn’t hit the radar as well?) to the gigantic champagne glasses to the delicious cerviche and oyster, this«new» venture by «famed» Roman Chef Massimo Riccioli(I didn’t know who he was but my dad was super excited«THE Massimo? You don’t mean THEMASSIMO has a RESTAURANTINLONDON?») this has all the trappings of success… may be it was the fact that the toilet was miles away on the other side of the hotel. Daniel Boulud would have had a massive coronary if you went to the toilet between courses. You would never make it back in time for the next course and all that delicious fish would be wasted! Anyways, the food is good– oysters, beautiful. Then my dad had the fish crudo sampler, amazing; my crab and ricotta ravioli was unfortunately not so good. But the main course of calamari and veggies tempura was excellent(exceptional if it came with a sauce of some type– I think a yuzu style tempura sauce would be perfect) and the prawns looked good. Special desert of plum tart x clarfortis thingo with cucumber ice cream was exceptional, but should have been warned it would take a while. Bread– disappointingly bland. The only thing I would say was that the service was a bit dicy– could do much better in this department! Otherwise a solid 4 stars. It’s not as if they could move the restaurant from the wrong side of the charing cross/embankment to the right side of covent garden…

Massimo is situated in the hotel we stayed in. The décor and atmosphere is beautiful. The evening we decided to try it it was strange how empty it was — while the other restaurant in the hotel and even the lobby lounge were very busy. The service was attentive — the servers had very heavy accents(not British accents!) though which we found at several other restaurants in London making it difficult to communicate. At a certain point you just go with it. The communication was difficult when trying to choose a wine — from California and not familiar with the French and Italian selections. We were happy though that the wine he pointed out was actually quite nice. I had a lobster spaghetti and my husband a seafood linguine. Both were nicely prepared, not huge portions, and a little pricey. Overall I would consider it again — but would have felt better about it if it were a little busier.
