Maze Grill is an awful restaurant. Had 1 blue«USDA» ribeye, it arrived medium well. Sent it back. Next one cooked ok but not the real thing. No taste very sad. Probably some poor british milk cow. Also had blue«Wagyu », it arrived burnt(charcoal) on one side(the bottom) very lightly cooked on top. Probably UK or New Zealand. £130 very disappointing taste, tasted it and sent it back did not ask for a replacement. Rubbish meat. Mayonnaise + Butter + Tarragon = Sause Bernaise NOT! All sauces runny and tasteless. Opened 3 wines: 2007 Clos de Vougeot from Meo-Camuzet . Badly kept = Vinagre. Ch Beaucailou 2006 no good. 2004 Sarget de Gruad Larose = dead Disgrace to keep such nice wine so badly. I thought they where display bottles around the walls but apparently not… Epically rubbish restaurant!!! If you want a good Steak go to: Beast = Beautiful Ribeye and the King crab is amazing also. Wine list to die for. Goodman’s = Good steak as long as you stick to the American stuff. OK wine. Gaucho Grill = OK Ribeye.

The Maze Grill was supposed to be 5 Stars, I wanted to give 5 Stars but is not, 4 Stars is because I was not pleased with some things. First, let‘s talk about the good things =) The Maze and The Maze Grill have the same Adress because they have the same entrance! On the right side is the Grill and on the Left the regular Maze. I had reservation for the Maze Grill. The service was outstanding since the hostess, going though the waiter, buses food runners, everyone(maitre too). The menu is very good and there‘s lots to orders, the bread as couverts cost 2 pounds and comes hot with good butter, is refill you can get as much bread you want and I recommend, you can save a little. I had to start the spicy tune tartare. Very good, A little bit too small and hard to eat, but definitely delicious. They had 3 types of dry aged steaks, Britsh, Rare Breed and American, being the last one the most expensive. I chose the British, we selected Rump Steak and Rib Eye. We selected the temperature as medium-rare and medium well. Both came a little bit of. The issue with the rump steak, came a little bit tough. The ribeye, I felt that the steak was to small for a ribeye, but I thin the weight on the menu is right. But now, these 2 steaks were not very dry aged, I had better before, I think the waiter should advise and talk to the customer more about the meat because I was a little disappointed. About the sides, a french fries with paprika, DELICIOUS, and EVENMOREDELICIOUS, the Portobello Mushrooms! Go for it, I recommend, very nice place, but go aggressive on the meat, do not get the cheaper british one

Poop. Don’t waste your money. I went here for my birthday and was severely disappointed. I hold true the belief that Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants are poop with crap service. Even though I booked they put me on a bar stool

We’ve been to other Gordon Ramsey restaurants and we’re looking forward to trying this out. Service was disappointing as the staff had language difficulties but compounded the problem with a poor and robotic attitude. We had meat, lobster, chicken, pasta and burger. Nothing memorable but more disappointing. The best dish was shaved cauliflower and Parmesan salad. Too bad!

OMG the confusion among these reviews is incredible: THISISMAZEGRILLNOTTHEMAZE. If you are looking for the maze, look on the appropriate page, as this is the grill house in front of the Maze, called Maze Grill. Half of the reviews here are wrong. So. Two restaurants at the same location, entering the restaurant you have the Maze on the left, a one-star(barely) fusion restaurant, and Maze Grill, a steakhouse. Both of them are owned by the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. My lady gave to me a coupon for a sunday roast at the Maze Grill, and we headed to the place on a sunny Sunday. The place has big windows looking directly on the Grosvesnor Square, which is good, but everything is ruined by the abundance of tables, definitely too many tables squeezed next to each other. Yes I understand this is supposed to be a family environment, but this is definitely too much for the amount paid. We seemed to pick the wrong date for a sunny roast: it was mother’s day, and the first waiter told us there was no sunday roast menu, but after asking directly to the supervisor, the sunday roast menu was given to us(I find quite unbelievable our waiter did not know the whole menu, especially in a restaurant where service would like to be top notch. It’s the second consecutive fault in service in the second Ramsay restaurant, and that’s extremely unexpected and disappointing). Our entrees were a 3⁄5: my lady’s cured meat board was lovely, with very deep flavors, while my burrata was a bit upsetting, while the cheese itself was good, as italian I can’t bear the fact they drenched it in lemon and majoran. Why do you put other flavors when you have a splendid burrata?! It does not make any sense, you are just covering the delicate flavors of the fresh cheese and all in all you are ruining the dish. It must be noticed that our entrees itself were good, but they were actually uncooked raw ingredients. Good raw materials do not need any hardwork. They still managed to ruin one of the dishes thou. As main course, I chose the sunday roast, while my lovely wife opted for lamb chops. My sunday roast was composed by sirloin and bone marrow, served with Yorkshire pudding, brown sauce and a set of different vegetables. The dish was delicious, well prepared, well composed, there can’t be any objection to that, it was just as a sunday roast should be. The vegetables were nice too, even if a bit blend and less inspired. But that’s just me nit-picking, the dish was stunning. Same thing applies for the lamb chops, the meat was perfectly cooked and left no pieces while removing it from the bone, it was a very pleasant set of mains. All in all, it’s a medium rating at this point: we had a couple of extremely good dishes, one that was ruined, and the service and the décor which brought down the rating. It’s a shame, this place should deserve higher rating and I definitely expect to upgrade the rating the next time we’ll get in a maze grill

Great disappointment from Great G Ramsay, We have been fans of THECHEF for quite some time. But food was average and for this money I would rather go to Nobu or ROKA. Nothing was really impressively. Small balls made our raw pear were part of one dish and it was a hunt with forks which ended in praying that we manage to pierce it with our cutlery and not explain ourselves to table next to us as to why our food lands on them. We didn’t order desserts as the meal was so bad that bill was enough to make us run. We decided not to risk the dessert outcome and we went to FOURSEASONSHOTEL for nice chocolate mousse. Sorry Gordon but we wasted our money on your joint. I would rather go and eat at ROKA or NOBU where we can always count on great experience.

It was good food, nothing super special though, especially the sides we ordered were perfectly done and the service was really friendly. I am just a tiny bit disappointed because my rump steak was medium-well done even though i ordered it medium-rare. I am a big meat lover and i had higher expectians on that

Typical Gordan Ramsey restaurant with really beautiful ambiance and amazing service. Food was good though not very memorable. I really like the fact that the waiter that serve the food would explain to you what you were having and not leave you clueless as to what you were eating. Slight caveat would be that they take extremely long to serve the dishes. So for a simple 4 course meal it took them almost 2 hours to serve the food.

When we see a chef on television critiquing other cooks food, I wonder to myself, is this chef even a good cook? So, while in London I had to give at least one of Chef Ramsay’s restaurant’s a try, and oh my was I taken away. The restaurant was absolutely stunning from it’s wooden floors to it’s bright colored tables and chairs. This restaurant was more than I would have imagine in such a small, yet quite part of town. Once seated, I ordered the Sirloin and potatoes. The steak melted inside of my mouth, and I feel in love through every bite. During my dinning experience, the staff was very attentive(yet, at the time of my visit the restaurant was empty), nonetheless the staff still remained professional. Overall, I must say that this restaurant and Mr. Ramsay should receive two thumbs up and a round of applause. This was a great way to end my vacation in London!

After spending a couple of days in London for our honeymoon, my wife and I decided to dine at Gordon’s Maze Grill restaurant. For starters we ordered the schezuan pepper squid and I ordered the dried head and meat platter. Both were very tasty. My wife ordered the lobster and I went for the lamb chops with sides of baby potatoes and portebello mushrooms. Everything was excellent! The service was great! I would have gave the meal 5 stars but Gordon never came out of the kitchen and ‘told me to piss off’!

We had a great evening at Maze. Excellent and attentive service and very yummy food. We shared a bunch of small plates and everything was delicious. I won’t cover off everything we had but only to say the cured salmon, smoked eel and beef tataki were highlights. The duck was also very good but I was so stuffed by the time it arrived, it ended up cold by the time I ate it. Pork belly could have been more tender. It was tasty but a bit on the hard side. The sommelier helped us pick the wine. Very friendly guy from Sardinia and he didn’t balk when asked for a lower priced option. Overall, a great evening at Maze.

On one of our last nights in the UK, we decided we wanted to try a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, and managed to snag a late reservation to Maze Grill Mayfair. We arrived a little bit early, and were shown to the lounge, where we were able to enjoy drinks, a swanky modern atmosphere, and some sushi. California rolls are offered everywhere these days, but this one was phenomenal, with very fresh and delicious crab. I had a lovely gin and sparkling wine drink of some sort, and my husband’s drink was great as well. For dinner, we both decided to have steak. I had an Angus filet mignon, medium rare, and my husband tried a British-variety of a rib-eye. Both were perfect, and lived up to any expectation we had from watching the famed chef yell on TV. For sides, we tried both the portabello mushrooms and paprika fries. Both were great. The wine list was excellent. Our server had great recommendations, and was both friendly and very professional. The space itself is a bit loud due to how it’s built, but is a great example of modern design overall. We felt lucky to get to have a meal here, and I’d definitely go back if I ever get the opportunity.

The presentation was generally good, and the snow crab was a delight, but most other dishes, and especially the tuna and salmon were average at best. Maybe they were too ambitious in trying the Asian fusion perspective on some of their dishes, because the quality just isn’t up to par in comparison. Maze came very highly recommended, but it seems like one of the many formulaic Michelin star chasers than a fantastic place to go out and eat. The atmosphere is beautiful and my cauliflower salad was interesting and flavorful. Actually all of the starters looked great including a sizable Cobb salad and a spicy prawn dish. Prawns were much smaller than I have ever seen in the US but this was the second nice restaurant with small prawns so maybe it is a London thing? I had to knock a few starts because my pasta was so overcooked. The flavor was good but it was a little hard to get past the mush. I liked that the menu was eclectic. In my party one had sushi, one had ribs, another had pasta, another steak.

Nice atmosphere, nice sashimi(snow crab is good), octopus could be more tender(the one I had tonight was really chewy, maybe too chewy), beef tatami is below expectation, duck leg is juicy and tender, pork belly is okay, frozen yogurt(tastes really natural and flavourful) is better than blood orange cake(too dense)

Wow! I was aMAZEd by this place! haha The restaurant looks small but its quite big inside, I went there with my friend and we had a great time together, no rush or anything. The decoration is beautiful and simple the food is very good, but small as well so make sure to have at least 3 plate for each and good thing is that you can share and try a variety of they dishes plus this was by far one of the best services I experienced in London, they know everything perfectly and they way they describe not only the food but also they champagne and they wine they have is irresistible! I would recommend this place to go with friends and family and I think it’s a perfect place to go if you have something to celebrate The Maze makes everything more especial.

After completely blown away by his flagship restaurant, I was super curious to try Maze. Got this opentable deal, 35pound for 4 courses with Bellini for dinner, so no brainer, I was in. Ordered the beef tataki, octopus, pork and chocolate dessert(can’t remember exactly what). The only let down was the pork, was pretty disappointed considering usually you can’t get wrong with pork too much. But one miss out of four, it was forgiven. I loved the texture on the octopus, not chewy and very soft, just what I expected. The asian flavored beef tataki was excellent too, with nice soy-sauce like and hot pepper. The amuse bouche was okay, there were 3⁄4 being served, but one in particular stroke me was this pork skin cracker or whatever they called it. It was just one out of many cracker /chips in the basket, but it stood out to me. Delicious. I was dining solo, so the server probably did not want to bother me too much and wanted to leave me in peace with my inner self. But it almost got too cold, functional and not as friendly as I expected it to be. But overall, for that price, i was satisfied.

Unsere Favoriten waren die Vorspeise Iron bark pumpkin latte with braised duck, black truffle syrup and cep brioche und der Nachtisch Apple and caramel trifle, cider granité, apple cinnamon doughnut.
