Personally I love this place for remote working. Great coffee, friendly service and a seating area on a deck with views of all the delicious goodies below. It’s never crowded and the wifi is speedy. I have yet to try the food(ridiculous I know) but it looks amazing. Freelancers, come on down to Melrose & Morgan. Or don’t, then it will always be as quiet as it is today :)

Love it! Visit this little shop on your way to Hampstead Heath and you will never run out of Picnic goodies! They stock the very best of everything you will need! The staff is friendly and the shop is beautifully decorated.

Nicely displayed, if however costly upper-end, quality deli products. The ueber-fit, ueber-tanned woman next to me at the counter was sporting a few carats on her ring finger while jokingly threatening to not pay if her tab were too high. I paid 2.40 for a searingly hot latte that, after it had cooled, was fairly drinkable. In terms of tasty espresso drinks in Hampstead, it’s slim pickings, so one either visits this joint or White and Ginger(or is it Ginger and White?) around the corner. At present, M and M offer only take-away service. They will be opening a café space on the mezzanine level of their shop in the near future. I may be back to check it out then.

Melrose and Morgan is a high-quality food market in Hampstead. Located near the Pentameter Theatre(or just across the street from Tesco), it’s conveniently located for everyone. I’ve tried Melrose and Morgan several times. It seems to be on the pricey-end, and every time I find myself leaving thinking that I could have just had a meal out. The food is fresh and generally pretty good, but for the price, you could probably find a table for two at a local restaurant. That being said, I did enjoy the salmon fillet and fresh green beans that I purchased. They are still new, so I’ll probably experiment a few more times. I hope that they improve their offerings to make it more compelling to return. They should consider doing more promotions in the area(to lessen price) — or finding new ways to package their food to make it more convenient.

Yet another high quality new venue in Hampstead. Just opened so the jury’s still out on it until I’ve tried it more, but it’s promising so far. Lots of organic vegetables, meals, baked goods and prepared foods. Most packaged goods are their own private label, so it’s not mass-market stuff you’d find in Tesco.
