Starbucks

What can I say, it’s a Starbucks. Nice location, decent amount of seating and nice staff.

Don’t know what’s going on here. The baristas can’t take customers orders nor can they get them right. Oh dear me. Come on people

This was my local Starbucks and I spent quite a few weekends studying here. The downstairs seating area of this location was really cute and cozy with squishy armchairs and tiny tables, but it was also dimly lit and better for conversation than for working. I never figured out what the connection may have been, but I overheard many entertaining first J-​Dates occurring in the basement of this Starbucks! (There was that guy who would NOT stop talking out how his mother dated on J-​Date too…)
I have also been inadvertently «locked» in the basement a few times when they roped off the staircase in the afternoon — I am still not sure why they did this or why they would always just leave me down there instead of asking me to leave!
There was more seating available with bigger tables and large windows facing Hampstead High Street upstairs. Groups of tweens tended to congregate here in the late afternoon on weekdays. A lot of families with small children hung out at this location, too.
Even though the store was quite large and right across the street from Hampstead Station, it was never too busy and there were only ever a few baristas working at a time. Since it was a less hectic location, it seemed like I encountered more baristas-​in-​training here than in any other store I visited so service could still be a little slow and inconsistent at times…

Hampstead, busy with shoppers and people running from place to place. Starbucks is a nice respite. This large shop has plenty of seating space and a warm atmosphere to work, read or relax for a few moments. Most all have had their coffee and I am appreciative of their consistency. Special note, WiFi is free with their «Starbucks Card» nice if you need to do work.
