This review is mainly for the Baskin Robbins concession that they have at this branch of Millie’s Cookies. Haagen Dasz and Ben & Jerry’s are relative newcomers to the London ice cream scene. I’ve been eating Baskin Robbins ice cream for several decades since I moved to London from Malaysia. They used to have a shop right next to the Empire cinema in Leicester Square but have been in the Trocadero location for a long time. Similarly, flavours come and go but my favourite is still a scoop of Gold Medal Ribbon — so simple but yummy — vanilla and chocolate ice cream with a caramel twirl. Cone of course. As for Millie’s, I don’t have a very sweet tooth and can resist cookies. Unless… I spot a batch that has just come out of the oven. Fresh, hot, moist, still gooey. Then I have a cookie too :-)
