Ordered the apple and cranberry wave tea warm with pearls and it was really good! Boba was on the spot, soft and chewy and sweet enough for flavor. The tea didn’t have any sugar so I could grasp the whole taste of the tea :). I’d come back here again!

Despite being half-Taiwanese, bubble tea has never been my favorite(I know, I know, sacrilege). But when I passed by Mooboo, I had to give it a shot because I like to visit bubble tea shops in places not famous for bubble tea, make them whip it out, and see whose is bigger. Well, Mooboo’s got a reason to strut because they’ve got a quality product. The lychee peach tea with aloe vera jelly was extremely refreshing with all its components coming together in perfect harmony. The staff are actually Taiwanese(at least my girl was), and if you can speak their lingo, they usually throw in a little something extra.

Wow this place has been around since 2012 and I just found it? Unacceptable. I was on my way to ChaTime when I saw this, and thought I should diversify my bbt suppliers a little bit… Ordered my favourite flavour so I can evaluate the place with a more consistent metric: Oolong milk tea with half sugar. The taste of tea is there, though I hope it could be a tiny bit stronger; the texture is smooth; there’s a good amount of sweet and slight bitterness, perfect balance; the bubbles were sweet and chewy. The girl who took our order was friendly but a little scatter minded. I asked for no tapioca, the drink came with tapioca anyway. I did not correct her because I secretly wanted those high carb chewy balls, just felt bad for eating so much sugar on one evening. My last bit of effort of staying healthy was in vain, but I was happy there’s an excuse to indulge. My friend ordered a cold drink but it came hot, our server realized it and made a new drink for us immediately. In general it looks like a very promising bubble tea place. I will bring my fellow boba lovers back here for more.

After having a Chinese meal, I always feel like having a bubble tea afterwards. And this is especially true after a spicy and oily Sichuan meal. So after a short walk I decided to pop into mooboo, a bubble tea joint I’ve yet to try, but thought it looked quite nice and cute from the outside. Once stepping in however, the place looked pretty drab, and not very clean. I didn’t let this deter me, as bubble tea places tend to be this way Being quite a cold night, the staff recommended I try a hot milk tea. I chose the Chocolate Peppermint flavour. What happened next horrified me. I could see the drink made in front of me and this is what I saw 1) Some pre-made tea was dispensed and then diluted with a lot of water 2) The diluted tea was then poured into a kettle and reboiled! 3) Separately some powder and syrup was mixed together using some whisking machine and mixed with the reboiled tea. Not appetising! I reluctantly tried the drink after this and needless to say. I didn’t drink much of it. Perhaps the flavour wasn’t a good choice either, chocolate and tea doesn’t really go. Regardless, don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

This is the first place I ever tried Bubble Tea– it was delicious and I’ve been back again and again. I love any of the fruit flavours with coconut jelly– I’ve tried the original boba and the popping balls but they’re not really for me. Watch out though, if there’s a queue be prepared for a long wait! They only have one member of staff working at a time.

I think this is one of the better bubble tea places in London. The pearls were perfect(chewy and sweet). The milk tea tasted like what I’d get from Taiwan. Lastly as someone else mentioned, when I went it was nice and quiet so there weren’t crazy lines.

I was on a huge bubble tea kick earlier this month, looking for reliable places to get my fix and Mooboo is now at the top of that list. I particularly like this location because it’s a pop of bright colour! Cute, small shop something you’d definitely find in Asia. There isn’t much seating inside but I can’t imagine it gets very crowded as it’s a bit hidden(also it’s directly behind a Chatime so I assume most people would stop there). I love sitting at the bar near the window and people watching while enjoying my tea. The tea flavour and pearl consistency are the main reasons I love Mooboo. There was an actual distinct tea base taste to my Mango fruit tea instead of that super sweet syrup taste you sometimes get with fruit flavours. I opted for coconut jelly but I tried the pearls in my boyfriends original milk tea drink and they were so good! He basically took one sip, closed his eyes and said it reminded him of being home in Taiwan. We both give our seal of approval to Mooboo. Great taste, great pearls, great options, great location. If you’re a bubble tea lover you need to come and try this place out!

This place comes a close 3rd behind Chatime and Longji for bubble tea. There is currently a groupon offer, 2 drinks for £3.50(and I note from their fb that there is a buy 1 get 1 free offer) so off my party went to this place yesterday after lunch. The ladies at the counter are very friendly, both speaking Mandarin but with good English also. The groupon code was a bit fiddly but they managed it. The drinks tasted pretty nice and even a regular cup looks quite big. I had the lychee drink with tapioca pearls in it. I think they told us we can choose the one ingredient in the cup without extra charge. Moment of truth — the tapioca pearls does taste a little bit sweet, which it should do. It has a chewy taste to it but the outer part of the pearl feels a little too«melted». I think this may be because the footfall here is not as good as Chatime and so the pearls may have been sitting in liquid for a bit too long, causing this to happen. Nevertheless, it is pretty close and I wouldn’t mind buying another groupon and going back really! At £1.75 I don’t mind slightly soggy outer tapioca pearls! They do try to be creative with the drinks, there is the panda drink which is oreo flavoured, and the yakult original or strawberry yakult flavour. Had a quick taste of the yakult but didn’t like it that much, tasted a bit too watery to me. No complaints about the lychee flavour though.

Delicious bubble tea with really fresh ingredients. I love that you can customize the amount of bubbles and sugar in each drink. I would recommend also allowing customers to have stevia or splenda or xylitol in the drinks.
