It’s your typical American diner. Food is average, but they serve real onion rings which is great. Service was really speedy and friendly. I got the blue cheese burger which was delicious.

These diners are pure tourist-bait, on par with M’n’M World and this one is particularly small with only seats at the counter. That being said… Go here and buy a milkshake! Like Rachel J, I am quite partial to the peanut butter shakes(although not quite as great as the Reece’s shake at FatBurger or the PB&Choc shake at Pot Belly) but on my latest visit I deviated from the plan and ordered their new shake. A BISCOFFSHAKE! Made with malted milk biscuits, ice cream, and Biscoff spread. OH. MY. DAYS! Get there. Get there now, you won’t be disappointed.

The ambience is really nice, set like the 50’s with music and nice décor. The food was good but I wouldn’t say is my favourite burger restaurant. There aren’t so many exiting options for burger but the sweet potato chips were quite tasty.

A fun little place to stop and eat. Kind of like a «Ruby’s» in California. We all enjoyed our meals, nothing fancy but solid three stars.

Came in on a Friday afternoon — the place was buzzing but not busy. We were served immediately and the food was also quick to arrive. I had the regular burger which was… regular. However, the Atomic Onion Rings were really good, and definitely something I will get again if I happen to return. All in all a pretty cozy and nice experience.

Lovely diner for a quick(and greasy) bite! Beautiful and extensive burger range is a must try for any patty fanatic! The atmosphere is really authentic and enjoyable. It’s a fun place! Not the best for bigger parties. If you want the American diner experience, it’s a must try! The milkshakes are heavenly!

When it’s not busy, I quite like going here– unfortunately it’s RAMMED pretty much all of the time– and this is a teeny tiny restaurant. It even has a bouncer in the evenings on the weekend– and there are often queues of people waiting to get inside. It can be expensive, but it’s worth signing up for their loyalty card online where you can get a free burger/hot dog when you buy a drink– and being part of Ed’s Club gets you a free milkshake in the time around your birthday– however they did kick me out of my seat when I tried to drink mine :(

Good retro Americana from the décor to the burgers to the shakes. You know what you’re going to get here and that’s no bad thing. No wonder it’s been here for so long and hasn’t had to change with the times.

I give it 4 stars for the interior. It really is cool inside. In the states, you still have many diners around. And Eds looks like one of them. Even have the tiny juke boxes. Shame this location is small. I would have enjoyed a booth. The food, well it wasn’t diner american. The menu was limited. Either hotdogs or hamburgers. No diner in America would have that. It would be loaded with giant salads, and reubens. Isn’t a diner without a reuben sandwich. And the pickles on the burgers weren’t dill. Can’t put a sweet pickle on a burger. It’s a law! It was a nice atmosphere. The burgers weren’t bad. Onion rings were good. Staff super awesome. Had myself a miller beer. Way!

Not exactly the amazing American Diner experience I was expecting, I thought the bacon burger had little taste, and the cheesy fries would have been much tastier with a little more salt in the sauce… Had better, although it’s a good thing to cultivate in London… Oh, and… Mind the step when going down to the loo !!!

Ok, we’re in London, we’re in Soho, surely the best burger of my Londoner journey, it’s just a little bit expensive for my pocket. The meat is of premium quality as well as chips and sauces, the service is quite kind and the furniture is American style baby! Three stars as the average between price and quality!

Despite the fact that one(of 5 waiters) made his best effort to deliver a good service, I was a bit disappointed with the whole experience. The food was so-so, the restaurant was a bit too hot, and they forgets my friend’s order, and both of our food doesn’t come with things that describe in the menu… surely that count as a massive FAIL? I WILL however recommend their alcohol milkshake! May be next time i will load myself up with their milk shake so I won’t care so much about the food… IF, there is a next time…

Walking around London, saw this, and pointed out to my friend that Ed’s is the English’s version of Johnny Rockets. He then wanted a milkshake, and I obliged and went in. I learned that if you want an Alco-shake, you have to buy food too. The last time I was here I had ordered food first, so that wasn’t an issue. I’m guessing that this requirement has to do with some London law I don’t know about. The shakes are good, though standard milkshakes are just that … standard. Pricing — It’s like taking a Johnny Rockets menu here in the US, and changing the dollar sign to a pound sign, thus more expensive than it should be(and JR can be pricey for a complete meal on its own … no need for exchange rate increases too) Service is mixed, but I give them props for handling a couple of drunkards in the place quite well. It provided some interesting entertaining for a few minutes. I think there are multiple Ed’s in London, because I recall being in a larger one the last time. This one is tiny. If there is another, I would recommend that one more, just for space.

Holy Cow! I have been searching for an American diner that reminds me of home for a while now, and I am pleased to say Ed’d Easy Diner has far surpassed my needs. Sweet potato chips? Check! American BBQ sauce? Double check! Chilli dogs? Hell Yeah! Milk shakes and root beer floats? Thankfully Yes! I cannot begin to explain how rare it is to find a place that is all round American diner food, which in all fairness means it is the little things that matter. You should always look for BBQ sauce, chilli burger/hotdog combo, bacon, and heart stopping cheesecakes. This place has it all, including staff that will sing the blues to you like they are living off those tips(American style!). If you are American and miss home or simply someone craving some tasty treats, go here. What to expect: Classic burger £5.75, Hot dog £5.75, Chicken classic £5.95, Sweet potato fries £3.95, Shakes £3.95, Root beer float £3.25

Never one to be impressed by a burger, Ed’s Diner has, once again, failed to change my outlook. The overall experience isn’t necessarily a bad one but I still remain unconvinced. Paying around/over £10 for a very average burger and some equally average chips leaves an unsatisfying taste. The food isn’t really bad but it hardly inspires a return visit. So, why three stars and not two? You need a distraction from the bland food and Ed’s provide those through is American roots. The efficient and in-your-face waiting staff make the visit a touch more personal and lively. That coupled with the dukebox playing the best of the 50s and 60s(mostly rock and roll and the genre that would become known as motown) from the States makes the atmosphere an upbeat and largely pleasant one. Most importantly, however, are the milkshakes. Not much to say other than go and have one. You can order these to take away, so no need to hang around. Not to mention free refills on soft fizzy drinks. Though the place is only small and a little cramped the general feel of Ed’s Diner makes it an easy place to take the weight off of your feet and feel at ease. This is, however, a case of style over substance. Meh, Ian

I did not plan to go to get a burger on that Sunday afternoon, but somehow ended up at Ed’s, after walking around in Soho. This restaurant while restaurant seems to be the wrong term actually is very small. Very. Basically, you simple sit around the grill or kitchen at the centre. I went in, because it looked interesting, and I wanted to try Ed’s anyway one time. The staff is funny, or weird. But not in a too bad way. But I can understand, that some people call them rude. Anyway, I cannot complain, they were not rude to me. But they were kind of rude to each other. But perhaps that’s just normal for them, so I didn’t really bother. The food is not really cheap. While the burgers are reasonably priced, in my opinion, the fries are not. So together it’s not really that cheap. the good thing is, you can get a refill for your drink. If you want to. It’s not the cleanest place too, but also okay in general. The quality of the food is average. I didn’t expect too much, I did not get too much. It was okay. I would not go there, to get a really good burger. I might go there again, because it’s a funny little place with these jukeboxes and the special(rude, weird, funny kind of entertaining) staff.

I love ed’s diner! a big fab of the oreo milkshakes, and kitkat sundaes. Oh and the cheese fries… and the big bubba. Well actually i love it all! even down the juke boxes on your tables. The food is always served quickly and the welcome is always warm. one of my favourite places to go on a date with my boyfriend.

The milkshakes here freaking good… I had the delightful peanut butter one which was such a treat! my goodness! wow! I think the burgers here are pretty good… nothing like freakishly special but nice. but seriously… even just come here for a milkshake… thick and creamy and hellishly bad for ya… all the more loveable!

Eds is a tiny 1950’s American style diner with all the charm of ‘Happy Days’. I go there for the novelty of all things rock ‘n’ roll and a proper hotdog with sweet fried onions. If you sit on a stool at the counter you’re within reach of the mini jukeboxes and for a mere 20p you can listen to the likes of Buddy Holly and Smokey Robinson. It’s not all novelty though as the food is just as great as the décor. My friends rave about the Malt Shakes in flavours like peanut butter, mint choc and coffee and banana, apparently they taste, «just like a box of malteasers melted into ice cream» which as tempting as it sounds, I haven’t tried as they look more like a heart attack in a glass to me. It’s a great place to come for a quick snack during the day with a couple of friends(It’s not great for groups as it’s so small). Afterwards I always feel like donning on a poodle skirt and going to a dance or a drive-in movie to look for my very own Richie Cunningham.

Oh ja, Ed’s Diner, another Pflichtbesuch bei meinen London-Aufenthalten. To die for!
