Mr Clutch

I always dread having to take my car into a garage for it to be checked over. I always expect to be fleeced. I’m all to prepared for the «UUUHHH mate that’s a real problem that is. It’s going to be expensive.‘
It came as a relief when I ventured into Mr Clutch in Lewisham. My clutch had started smelling like burnt bacon, which even to a clueless wonder like me signified a problem.
I was told to leave the car with them for an hour which I did. On my return the mechanic told me the clutch was shot. He pointed out I could replace a part of it, fix it today for £80 and I could have it back in four hours.
This was great news to me. I’d popped into another garage earlier and been told the whole thing needed ripping out, and it would cost me in the region of £200.
I unsurprisingly allowed Mr Clutch to do what they do best. I had the car for a further year with no clutch problems.
