Disappointing. I got the classic burger and it just tasted very odd. The flavour had bitter, sour, and musty edges to it. The combination with the cheese taste made things worse but the meat itself tasted strange, perhaps due to the way it was seasoned. Burger was on the small side with no frills. The fries were fine and the portion was quite good. But the main point of a burger place is the burger…

I know it might not be very useful for a vegetarian to review a Burger place. But, I’m going to review this place anyway, just in case there are any vegetarians who would like to know. There’s only one veggie option — portobello mushroom burger.(Of course the fries and some of the sides are vegetarian as well) Absolutely loved it. The brioche, the sauce — everything was just perfect! I would definitely go there again.

I’ve been past this burger joint what seems like a million times. A friend came here quite a while ago and finally I managed it while the missus was in hospital after she gave birth to our son. It’s only a dinky place but I like it. Friendly staff, quick service and super tasty burger. I can’t remember the name of the burger I had but it was messy and fantastic. Covered in cheese and slow cooked onions. It dripped cheese. I’m salivating just writing this. I had sweet potato fries which were brilliant. Sweet and crunchy and perfectly seasoned. I’m definitely going to having a burger here again. Maybe even today…

First signs of Lewisham becoming the next Shoreditch or Islington. Simple but trendy burger shack with tasty gourmet burgers made with a selection of new interesting flavours. Staff were friendly and the burgers tasty.

My boyfriend found this burger restaurant on another review site which said ‘the best burger shop in London’ or something like that and we decided to go to Lewisham just for the burger! I have to admit that it’s the best burger I’ve ever had in London! I ordered Rox melted burger because I was tempted by grilled onions and melted cheese! Awww, so tasty! I was very satisfied with all of the fresh ingredients and the fantastic combination of onions, cheese, angus beef, bacon and a brioche bun! Also I enjoyed a bite of the Rox Blue Burger that my boyfriend ordered! Can you believe that you can enjoy both mozzarella cheese and blue cheese at once? Although the Rox chips were also delicious, we just couldn’t stop eating the burgers. The burger was quite dense so I couldn’t finish it all so I took it back home. Of course eating it at the restaurant is better, but it was still good at home! When we were at the restaurant, some delivery staff brought some fresh fruits and veggies so I felt they use good quality fresh ingredients! The restaurant was small but cosy and I liked the stylish interior! It’s a family-friendly restaurant but great for anyone! Oh, I shouldn’t forget to mention that the glass for the tap water was an American style jar with lime! The overall price was also fantastic, I highly recommend a visit to this quaint American burger bar!

Oh my word. My last review almost destroyed my faith in burgers, this place has clearly restored it. These guys have game for absolute days. Probably the tastiest burger I’ve had in years and the tastiest I’ve had in London since GBK were in their pre-Nando’s pomp. I had a Rox Bacon without the jalapeño and you’d think the whole thing was going to be bland without that pepper but you’d be wrong. Cheese was creamy as fuck(that’s the technical term) and the bun was suitably squidgy. Fries were spot on and the only disappointment for me is that the shakes are too unconventional for my tastes. Not just that but while the place is a little on the small side, it is really perfectly formed. It’s a beautiful building inside and the music was amusingly retro and spot-on. I might go back tonight. Sssshhh. Don’t tell anybody.

I’ve tried a lot of burger places, that were supposed to be the best burger in town and was never blown away. But tonight, at Rox burger I’ve eaten THEBESTBURGEROFMYLIFE. Fluffy brioche burger: check . Tender meat cooked to perfection: check . Fries topped with parmesan and rosemary: check(and they’re not cheap on the parmesan) Refreshing lemonade: check . I woulr recommend the mexican burger(with a loooooot of guacamole) Service is fantastic. Count £30 for 2 people. They also do take away.

Spent the night at a friends in Lewisham and after a heavy night before was informed that there was new burger place open on the high street. As I am always in search of good burgers in London, and because I hoped it would help the hangover, we popped by. The interior is clean and unfussy and there were already a few customers seated. As we glanced the menu I was pleased with the choices. My friend ordered the rox sun burger and I order the rox classic cheeseburger with an added fried egg. As it arrived we were impressed with the appearance of our burgers. Tidy, manageable to hold and a good size. The bun was good and held together well and the egg was well cooked but unfortunately the burger patty was a bit dry. It was not overcooked by any means, however I don’t believe they used beef with a high enough fat content to produce the juiciness and flavour expected from a burger in London these days. Everything about the place was great, friendly staff, good condiments, good prices etc. just the patty let it down. I would be willing to try Rox burger again next time I’m in the area with the hope of bumping this up to a four star if the patty is juicier as I would like to see this place to well.

I had the mushroom burger with chicken and my husband had Chorizo burger with beef. We shared Rox fries with Parmesan and Rosemary. I had melon juice which turned up in a cute jam jar with 50s style stripey paper straw. My husband enjoyed a gluten free Czech lager which was really refreshing. First thing I noticed when we got the food was that both burgers were so cleanly stacked — I’ve never seen such attractive burgers. And a decent amount of filling at that. My chicken burger was the best I’ve ever had. My husband considers some other burgers better to the one he had here but he agrees he’s not comparing like for like. Both burgers had a green sauce which must be Rox Burgers mayo and was delicious and what set it apart but also well cooked toppings/ingredients I felt made the burgers we had stand out. This is a fantastic new restaurant to come to the Lewisham borough. The hand cut fries were skin on and crispy with lots of little crunchy ones /exactly how chips should be :)

Amazing. The head cook here already had a reputation for excellent homestyle meals, it’s no wonder the food at his new flagship restaurant is simply depicious.
