I’m always skeptical of chain burger places, but my trip to Byron delivered. A bit of a wait, and unfortunately a poor system for keeping track of who’s next, but we were seated nicely. Service is good, not great. Very nice people, just minimalist for sure. Drinks and things took a bit long to get brought to the table, but water jug was refilled without asking — so they are paying attention, just leaving you alone. Excellent burgers. cooked perfectly, bun was nicely toasted and held together through the entire experience(soaking up the juices as well). Had the burger with smoky bbq sauce, perfectly paired with the onion rings and was really savory. The classic was just that — simple is better, with fresh lettuce and tomato, a generous helping of mayo, was just very well done. Sides are good, not exceptional, they pair well with the burger, which is exactly what you’d expect. Maybe a bit pricey, but you’re paying for the location(right next to the Cutty Sark), and it is a chain, so they’ve got a built in following. Overall, good food, and if I want a good burger, this is a great option.

The sign on the window said they served a proper hamburger. Since this was right off the tourist ferry pier I found it a bit suspect but since the family was tired, hungry and not in the mood to go searching for something else, I went with the flow. I went upstairs to enjoy the river view and placed my order. Our drinks came out in frosted mugs and glasses. Nice touch and nice start. The Byron Lager was pleasantly crisp and flavorful and though from a can, tasted like draught. The Mac and cheese was wonderful, fries perfect. But the B-Rex burger was absolutely fantastic. It blew me away. I never had Scottish beef before but I am a fan now. It naturally comes out medium but you can have it cooked to order. The bacon strips on top were cooked to a crunchy, light, flavorful perfection. Service was friendly and helpful. I think our server was peter. I absolutely loved my experience at Byrons and would not hesitate to recommend it.

amazing location, almost flawless service, sadly i had better burgers from Chinese takeaways. in all fairness, i only ate there once, so i’ll update this review after i give the place a second chance.

Just metres from Greenwich Pier, this has to be one of the best located Byrons in London. Where else to grab a quick dinner before boarding that Thames Clipper for home? But it’s still a Byron. A menu of reasonable but limited burgers, where the most interesting ones are somewhat damningly the Veggie and whichever is the special at that moment. And, alas, it doesn’t even have an interesting theme to the restaurant, eschewing the uniquely distinctive features found in other London Byrons(e.g. the bank in Fulham and the diner in Haymarket). Service on the other hand is friendly and fairly quick, even under pressure.

I must have been here dozens of times since this place opened in 2012 in time for the Olympics. Not once have I had a bad experience. The food is consistently good, the service prompt and friendly and everything is presented nicely. At weekends this place gets v busy and with good reason, I’d recommend getting there for 1230 for lunch. Note — Byron’s is at Greenwich Pier *not* N Greenwich Pier as the listing implies(the map is accurate though)

On a nice hot summer day with view of the river thames. Byron is a place to have a mouthwatering burger filling joy or maybe I’m feeling so sultry drunk with sun, sitting up on roof top terrace with a glass of red wine looking towards canary wharf with its simple menu, that 1950’s style look to it, warm atmosphere, comfortable seating great service even well ask for my burger well done it still was beautiful. My friend told me about this place and its story but i didn’t want to go because Thames River Cruise boat stop right outside and theirs me biting into my juicy burger and tourist with they great big camera lens click, clicking away joking!!! But I got over it because I was on roof top terrace. Anyway the story go’s(very short) that Mr Byron live in America ate through four years of burger. Kid you not! He had his favourite restaurant to eat burgers, the reason was that this place did simple tasty burgers. After fours years he came back to London and a light bulb idea came of doing burgers the same way with 100% scottish beef and the rest is history. Its true I ask the waiter!!!
