Extremely rude waiter (the one wearing glasses) — bland starter –Terrible pizza dough which makes you get acid reflux — Long wait the food and the bill — absolute waste of money

I am usually a fan of the Zizis chain and have been to many of their restaurants in London, Norwich and Kent.
As expected the food was good, we had the Garlic bread with caramelised onion starter and I had a Rustica Pizza for a main.
However, I do feel this particular Zizis restaurant in Greenwich lacks a nice
atmosphere, we were downstairs and it seemed very crowded! The service was also very average, it took a long term for a waiter to take our order and bring over our bill. I would hope that normally they have more waiters on a busy Friday night.

The prices are affordable but I must say I would rather go to Pizza Express next time. The food just doesn’t taste that great. I ordered the Calzone Pollo Spinaci and it was such a weird combination. It wasn’t very hot and it wasn’t very flavourful.
However, I will say that the service we received was EXCELLENT. The waiter was so kind and warm. Very nice guy.

Pizza was hot and fresh but the mozzarella basil was more on the mozzarella and less on the basil… I got one sprig of basil in the middle of my pizza. The classics are the size of a large plate and definitely enough for one. The others are the size of a long wood board and could be shared. Prices are fair unless you are from the US and then it’s a bit crazy to pay $ 14 for an individual pizza.
Strawberry and chocolate dessert pizza was nice to share but the lemon sundae was so tart my friend had to stop eating it as it was hurting her mouth.
Customer service was great-Solomon is who you should ask for (you can’t miss him, he looks like Taye Diggs).
You get to watch the water and smell the food. what’s not to love
