Wanted to go to an American Styled restaurant for 4th of July with my friend. This was ok. It is laid out well and you are not on top of each other. Servers can get up and down aisles with ease. I like that because I don’t like these over cluttered eateries where you are in whispering distance of the diners next to you. Our service was a bit. um, odd… to start. The server was very cold and a bit hurried despite there were only about 6 groups in the whole place at the time. His mood did cheer up a bit though. The food, well, it was ok. I’m writing this review now because I would forget about the food otherwise. The Louisiana Wings were cooked well — I was afraid to order them because I haven’t had a decent wing on this side of the Atlantic — but glad I did. Not enough sauce though. The side of blue cheese was watery so I didn’t bother with that. The burger, oh my, this was a pre-made, frozen patty. They also only cooked burgers well done(it wasn’t creamated) but I prefer medium well. I could not finish it because the texture wasn’t right. The chips were nice & so was the relish that came with it. My friend had the ½ chicken with Louisiana sauce. She said it was fine. We both had the Eton Mess Sundae’s however, I asked if I could have mine layered with blueberry & strawberry for my 4th of July celebration… It arrived with only blueberry. Hmmm… The toilets are fine. Need a freshen up though, however, I would not write this place off completely. The reception was pleasant and it is one of the nicer locations of F&B’s NOTETOSELF: If you go again, don’t get any of the burgers.

Loud room, and generally average quality food. Nothing special except the location which is right on the Thames. Not the place I would choose to revisit given the other options in the area. As a chain(and a mediocre one at that) there is nothing really special about this place that would make me return again.

It is astonishing that this restaurant is still in business. It took a long time to get seated. restaurant was less than half full, staff walking about, still took a long time before our presence was acknowledged and we were seated. After we sat 20 minutes passed before a server came to our table. None of the staff even looked at us while we sat and waited. The staff is utterly without affect, no eye contact — the manager and server seemed utterly uninterested in working at a restaurant. We asked for water when we placed our order. Water took forever to come. We waited another half hour at least before the food was delivered to our table. As we were leaving another customer was complaining to the manager that he had been waiting for a full hour for service. That customer was at a table when we had arrived at the restaurant, and when we left the poor man was still there and his order had not yet been taken. — The lack of attention in this restaurant is screamingly conspicuous — the entire staff seemed disengaged and unmotivated. Utterly astonishing. This claims to be a New York style restaurant. In New York, this place would have closed down before it opened. Astonishingly bad. Stay away.

Definitely American… especially the beer selection(and not in a good way). The burger was definitely not the best quality I have ever tasted. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations and was too expensive for me to forgive, but the staff was friendly and the view of the Thames is nice.

One of the nicer Frankie and Benny’s locations, with a few booths next to the window giving views looking out over Greenwich Pier. Service was fairly quick on the Sunday morning we visited, and the £5 Big Breakfast was a bargain, especially when combined with the unlimited tea/coffee for £1.50 extra. Even when you factor in the small extra charges for toast and maybe some extra beans, it’s still a good good choice for a convenient, cheap meal neat the water in Greenwich.

Went here after a lecture for their lunch menu which is at a reduced rate to their normal menu. I had a burger, onion rings and as much coke as I could drink. It came to under £10, service was great even though we both weren’t spending much, and we had a lovely view of the river. I would go back again for the lunch special, but I’m not sure about paying full price as it seems quite expensive.
