The food was really not great, and not much Vietnamese even. Very pricy for what it is. Service was slow. Not impressed by the cocktails, I quickly switched to beer… Giving 2 stars because they still had a table on a last minute thursday evening(guess i now know why…), and for the convenient location.

Funky more than quirky, this pan-Asian place was bustling yet still cozy on a Friday night. The plates are sort of small, but with rice sides, people seemed to fill up. I was recommended the peppered beef with fried rice and had a delicious go, though it wasn’t mind blowing and there was definitely some price inflation(probably due to the location — 10 min walk from the South Kensington stop). Had a strong classic Margarita. Not quite Texas, but a solid choice. I tasted the capoeira and it seemed a bit too sour for my taste. Couldn’t make much sense of the cocktail menu — it said Latin American and had a few tropical items on the list. Adds to the character?

WARNING: If you are going to try the Flaming Ferrari you need to get mentally prepared for it before entering. Think long and hard about the kind of night you want to have and um… the kind of choices you’re liable to make. It is exactly what it sounds like. A burning car crash waiting to happen, if you are into that. Have it at your own risk but buckle up. Otherwise, great cocktails. I really recommend the Strawberry Daiquiri. It is huge and has the consistency of a smoothie. And stronger than I expected. The other cocktails are good as well and they just let you sit around, veg, and slowly reach new heights of inebriation with your company. What more can you ask for. In fact, after about 11pm there is a huge crowd that comes in just for that and the whole place basically turns into a bar. Kind of strangely located in South Kensington, this place is nice for a pre night-out. The interior mixes stylish with kooky as one whole wall is covered with paintings crowded together but the restrooms are at the bottom of a modern winding, spiral staircase which leads down to an atmospheric downstairs. The food is fine. Nothing to write Vietnam about, but decent. The aromatic duck was actually better than what I have had at more up-scale restaurants. However, I’d come back for the cocktails… though that might just be a reflection of the kind of girl I am.

… they seem to be offended if you don’t order from the cocktail list on a Saturday night. We had one of the weirdest evenings here, the place feels like the setting to a 70’s soft porn movie. Having been told that we could only have a table until a given time, we left when most people started arriving. As the food was very average, we will never know what this places pulling power isl.

«Thai» food(read crapola mix of Asian) at high prices with lethargic service and a braying, ruddy-cheeked client base. I hoped my mojito would prove a salvation, but no. It was weak and average. I had more fun one time at Skegness on a hen party than at Nam Long.

This place is a Chinese restaurant but it is far more famous for it’s infamous drink the flaming ferrari. A great place to go with a group of friends this cocktail will more than get the evening into full swing. Oh yes and the foods not bad either!
