I love it!!! Never disappoints me, everything looks /tastes clean and fresh, the only problem is that they almost never pick up the phone, it would spare me 15 min when I’m super hungry

Nando’s — They seem to be everywhere. Go to a big town, a shopping centre, they are there. This branch in particular is in Piccadilly, in London and is in a very busy area for restaurants, and it must have to have good standards to survive, and not just carry the Nando’s name, but in my opinion this store survives just because of its’ Nando’s name, if you put any other independant name on this restaurant, I’m sure it wouldn’t! The store is set over 2 floors, with more of a bar or a waiting area at the top, with the main part being located at the bottom, the lift was a standard wheelchair disabled lift and was a nightmare, it made funny noises and was very slow, and it made me feel like I needed a pillow, as it would be stuck and I’d be stuck in Nando’s for the night. The staff here was a nightmare, I was originally talked to by 2 senior members of staff, but then they left… It was down to simply, a bunch of trainees to sort out, with no one putting a word in to explain about gluten free, hence ordering was really a struggle. The trainees struggled to understood me, and actually spoke very poor english, and one of them even had to put me on the till with another trainee, simply because they didn’t understand gluten free, normally they put a note on the till to do it separate and avoid cross-contamination, however they struggled to understand that here, and I just had to eventually, after fighting with them, trying to explain basic wording, which anyone in the food industry should know under EU law, I had to settle for their word. I ordered Chicken butterfly with 2 portions of chips, and the server also questioned my order, I simply found her to be very rude and she didn’t like my order and had to keep confirming everything, in a kind of way which shown some rather nasty attitude, like a teenager who was dragged in below minimum wage for work experience. The service was very fast, and by the time I spoke to my server again, after checking my receipt and it not stating«gluten free«as they told me, my food has come, I had to get the staff to assure me it was fine. The quality was actually quite poor, I do admit it was edible, but it was just simply okay, the chicken didn’t taste as good as other branches such as London Euston, and it simply tasted like it wasn’t Nando’s quality, and the mango and lime flavouring was also non-existent and not too great either. The chips were pretty standard for Nando’s and basically average, but I have had much better at other branches. The service here to add to that note is also a little cheeky, I did tell them I was coming down and they would have saw me using the lift, but then they was only around 1 – 2 tables left and I was lucky to even get a seat, as they nearly forced me back up to floor one. The store isn’t very nice, and it was a little crowded too, I was also quite upset to listen to a sobbing, suicidal teenager, I admit she is upset and her parents were trying to help, but the staff were just batting a blind eye, and it really wasn’t nice to listen to what she was saying, while I was trying to enjoy my meal. My meal wasn’t a pleasant experience because of my «neighbours» and the surrounding noise as well, this branch isn’t a very nice branch as well and is basically very unusual, considering you do have to go downstairs, and it is a reasonable sized store anyway. I did feel deserted by the staff that left me under the influence of trainees who really didn’t know what they were doing, and the quality wasn’t even worth putting up with all this. I do feel this Nando’s store warrants 1 stars, as it just is very poor and not up to Nando’s standards as a whole, with the service, the food and the store as a whole being the main reasons for the low rating.

4.5*s. Hard to beat this for food and price in London. Ate here twice today. Wings, chicken all good and tasty. Sides quite good also. Wish they hadn’t been out of the mango quenchers. Didn’t try dessert. Would return but probably not on this trip.

So delicious… I’m back in he states now but I’m still dreaming of this food. The chicken burger is so delicious! The chip both plain and peri-salted? Amazing. The grilled corn on the cob? Perfect. The spicy rice? Yummy. I could make a meal of the sides alone lol. I wish I was there longer so I could try everything. So idk if this is how all Nandos are but you get a table and sit down and then when you’re ready you go up to the counter to order your food; then when you’re food is ready they deliver it to your table. Then they have sauces and utensils against the wall by the soda machine that you can use and put back. Similar to Chipotle. I just wish that there was a Nandos near to me.

Today was my first time at Nandos, and I was so excited to try it since people were telling me that the food was amazing. And while the food was great, the customer service from the greeter was horrible, which dampened the mood and my experience there. We had a group of nine and I understand that it’s a lot, but from the get go he told us that they were too busy to accomodate nine in one, so we kindly asked him to just split the tables 5, and 4, and he agreed. We were kind of embarassed so we sat silently for 45 minutes, and watched as Antonio(the greeter) sat tables of four and five that had came after us. After even more waiting, the only time he acknowledged us was when we asked him how much longer, and a lady named Erika, who was very apologetic, helped us and sat all nine of us down, much to our surprise. If it wasn’t for her, I would’ve rated this lower, it was an exhausting experience with this particular staff member, even after we offered to split our group. Anyway, I absolutely have nothing bad to say about the food, and the rest of the help that we received afterwards. Would recommend!

I really love Nando’s but here Piccadilly brunch is too busy because it’s Piccadilly, famous tourists place. I remember I had to wait for a while but it’s worth to wait to enjoy Nando’s.

I’m going to be an annoying tourist for a hot second but… I LOVENANDO’S!!! The peri peri has a little somethin somethin that I just can’t explain and that keeps me coming back for more everytime I’m in the UK.(I will note that there are locations in the States. However, none are too close to me, but I’d also make the argument that they’re not as good, so alas, I’ll have to wait for my next trip to London to get more of this goodness.) All of the food is good, but I’ve visited enough to where I have a «usual» order. I love the ¼ chicken with medium peri peri sauce. It comes with a side, but depending on how hungry I am, I typically order more than one. I’ve had everything from the peri chips to the corn on the cob to the coleslaw and everything has been fabulous. As others have said, the service is great for what you pay for. I personally like the concept of ordering first, then serving yourself as far as drinks and silverware go, and then going back to your preassigned table. This Nando’s is in a good location and is one I would definitely return to the next time I’m in London. Whatever Nando’s is doing as far as food and atmosphere, they’re doing it right.

What is it about Nandos?! I swore to myself I’d never become like every other Brit in regards to their disposition towards this Portuguese gem of a fast-casual eatery. Unfortunately, my premature oath was overwritten by my innate desire to chew on Medium peri peri ¼ chickens alongside oversized fries(excuse me ‘chips’) simultaneously dipped in an array of otherwise boring sauces(ketchup, mayo, hot sauce). Service — it’s Nandos. Great for what you’re paying… Mas o menos. Food — everything is delish. I love to order my chickens with the Nata sweet tarts and Halloumi cheese! Ambience — my fav Nandos is still the one in Southwark due to the hammocks but this one was okay too, esp for Central London/Mayfair area. Location — convenient to everything central. There’s several to choose from in the area though. Experience — overall 3 – 4 stars, a modest 4 or I’d give 3 with a positive review and a smile :). Enjoy xx

Drooool! I hope Nando’s finds it’s way to the U.S. Particularly, to LA. It’s a cute, trendy, artsy-hipster looking place with good food! I usually get the ½ pound mango-lime chicken with peri peri fries. On the side, I get the wild herb sauce and mix it with ketchup to dip my fries in. You’re welcome. I would post a picture, but I’m a slob and ate all my food. The missing star is only because I wish they delivered! It’s rainy here and it’s too close to taxi but too far to walk in the rain– especially with a sick baby. Hmph.

You get a lot of cluck for a few bucks! The variety of sauces make up the best part of these birds. They added a skinless boneless chicken plate a la carte but I added the coleslaw and it was a perfect meal. I wasn’t feeling like local food so this was perfect. Location of this restaurant is in a busy area of town so getting a table right away may take some time but worth the wait. Prices are reasonable, self serve beverage station and park like benches gives the sense of an upscale fast food establishment.

I really like the Nando’s on Baker Street, so I was excited when I realized there was one near my office that I hadn’t known about. Unfortunately, at least this time, this one wasn’t up to par with Baker Street. Not by a long shot. First, I arrived for my takeout and there was cheese on my chicken burger, which I definitely hadn’t requested. But there had been some accent issues on both ends of the phone line, so I let it go(and along with it, my intention of getting a healthier dinner… ah well.) The chicken itself was much drier than I’m used to at my other location, and the bun didn’t seem nearly as soft. The biggest difference, though, was the sweet potato mash: it needed salt and some hot sauce mixed in to give it any flavor whatsoever, while it usually stands alone. Disappointing. I’d be willing to try again in hopes that it was just a bad night, but this dinner was a letdown. One positive over Baker Street: this Nando’s was more atmospheric somehow, in case you were eating in.

I’ve never been a big fan of Nando’s, and have only been once or twice, usually to just have a simple roast chicken with no problems. Tonight, however, was a different story. I went up to order and was feeling a bit nauseous, so I figured I’d just get a caesar salad with grilled chicken. They were out of caesar salad? Okay, sure, I’ll have the mixed leaf salad instead — with grilled chicken. But I can’t have spicy food at the moment, so is it possible to just get it PLAIN with no spice? The cashier said sure, so plain chicken it was. A few minutes later(gotta love the speedy service!) the chicken came out, marked plain. I took a bite, it was spicy, and my stomach turned a bit. Shame, because I’m sure I otherwise would have liked it. My friend said something to the cashier, who came over and told me that all the chicken is marinated before cooking and the spice is unavoidable. Look, if that’s the way you run your restaurant — with solely spicy food — that’s fine. But at least tell me that when I say I can’t have spicy food, that I’ll need to order something else. Eventually the manager came over, because another waiter came over to ask why I wasn’t eating, and the manager said I had two options: 1) He could bring me some sauce to hide the spiciness, or 2) He could give me a refund I opted for the refund, since at that point my friend was done with his meal and I just wanted to get out of there. He gave me a refund, alright: I paid about 6.70 for my salad — but because the mixed salad on its own is about 4.15 and the«step up fee» to include chicken is 2.55, he only gave me back 2.55. I realise 4.15 isn’t something to freak out over, but the fact that the staff made me feel a little dumb for not knowing that spiciness is unavoidable in their restaurant combined with them only refunding me part of a place and making me feel a bit like a cheapskate for them doing so? I’m pretty done with Nando’s. Or, at the very least, I’m done with this branch.

The better Boston Market of London. I won’t lie. It’s that cheap but delicious chicken roasted with plenty of sides to choose from and if you were walking down the street looking for Trafalgar Square or some monument, you’d smell the aroma and get drawn to it too. And the great thing about food in Europe is that it doesn’t feel as greasy as it does here in the states. The chicken was awesome. With a regular full platter chicken and a full meal of wings with sides like mash potatoes, peri peri fries, it was enough to fill our U.S. deprived souls up. And after you order, you can load up on all the sauces for the chicken and fries. Prices were very reasonable and came out to be about 11 pounds per person. And although it has remnants of Boston Market, its definitely classier and more delicious than. Now, come on over to the states!

I forgot«chips» are fries!!! So with my ¼ chicken I got the garlic bread and the corn on the cob. The refillable drink is nice, you need plenty of refill if you can’t handle spicy like I do… The chicken was dry on some parts so I don’t really see the need to go back. Didn’t really make an impression on me, but my friend is obsessed with this place.

After my girlfriend told me about her Nando’s experience during her last stay in the UK, my expectations were high. They were surpassed! First we had to wait for 10 – 15 minutes to get a table, but considering that it was a Saturday evening in Soho, it was okay and definitely worth it. What I especially like about Nando’s is the whole system of ordering and getting your stuff. Instead of stressing out all of the waiters and waitresses, you have to order on your own and get your cutlery and sauces yourself. Also, there are bottomless softdrinks! The chicken and the side dishes were sautéed fantastically and very tasty! I can recommend the wraps, the chicken breast and, as side dishes, garlic bread, mashed potatoes and chips. My first Nando’s experience resulted in two more stays in three days. Can someone please extend this concept one to one to Germany?

grilled peri-peri chicken & chips with tons of spices & flavor in the heart of some of London’s finest shopping area, oxford street! not bad of a spot for getting your lunchtime grub, & to take a break from the shopping. very reasonably priced, and very«upscalish» for a chain restaurant. loved it, would definitely come back!

I am a chicken man. Bring me to a place that specializes in chicken and seriously, I can’t talk smack. I thought this place was fantastic. It was a little confusing to figure out how this place actually works… ordering/service was a little confusing but once you’re on your way, the food takes care of the rest. Off the bat, if you’re a guy(an American one at that), go ahead and order the half chicken — or maybe even the full. Portions are smaller this side of the Atlantic and I inhaled my half chicken with two sides(corn on the cob and rice) instantly. In fact, I ordered 5 additional chicken wings afterwards to fill that last little bit of empty void in the belly. Secondly, order the mildly spicy version of the chicken. The non-spicy versions are boring and the mild has a good kick that doesn’t knock you off your feet. The spiced nuts are a good start. Overall, enjoyed the meal and plotting at forging my own chicken diner empire States-side.
