One-O-One proved to be a pleasant discovery in Knightsbridge. We dined here after booking the same day during the recent London restaurant festival a set menu with a number of choices 3 courses with tea/coffee and petit fours for £29.50. One-O-One specialises in seafood however there are also meat options on the menu. The restaurant claims to be the best seafood restaurant in London, whilst I would not call it the best it can be considered to be a good option in the area.

Went for London Restaurant Festival 3 courses for £30. Incredible value for money at a restaurant of this calibre! Starters Wild Scottish scallops and foie gras for the sister and wild Norwegian red king crab ravioli for me. The king crab came poached on a bed of wilted spinach with sauce Americaine and parmesan foam. Although just the one, it was full to the brim with juicy crabby meat; full of flavour. A lot of ingredients in this starter but Chef Proyart let the food do the talking as the flavours of the crab infused all elements of the dish. The scallops, on the other hand, could have been a meal in themselves; cooked to perfection, as you would expect, and served with wild mushrooms, shallot confit and pinot noir matelote strong in flavours and hugely gratifying to eat. Came here for a nice dinner with my sister who lives in UK for a girl’s night out. Delicious meal — wasn’t cheap :) but it was well worth it. Excellent service and made you feel special — please dress up when going here so you don’t feel out of place ;) Memorable dessert selections and nice wine selection.

I had written this review six months ago but never got around to posting it. Better late than never I guess! Came here for lunch. Wild sea bass was small, but very delicious. Desserts ok. Service very lackluster, but it could be because it was lunch time. There were only two other parties in the restaurant other than us, so it was very empty and quiet. I felt that the surroundings were a bit haggard in appearance(eg, old looking drapes, tablecloths, carpet, etc), so it’s not the best place for a hot date… but business lunches/dinners I imagine would be fine. I would expect more for the price. The restaurant is also a bit difficult to find. It’s basically inside the Sheraton hotel by Harrods.

Heralded as one of the best seafood restaurants in town(albeit unknown), for my birthday my boyfriend and I decided to check it out(got 50% off with tastecard too). This is definitely an upscale joint(hey it’s in knightsbridge so no surprise there) so don’t wear jeans but the food is definitely superb! In appetizer we had the Norwegian King Crab Legs, one warm with chili-ginger sauce and one cold with mayonnaise and lemon. Both were amazing and surprisingly in a much larger portion than we thought, the winner though was hands down the warm served with chili-ginger sauce. For main course I had the seared tuna with foie gras and my bf the seabass, presented beautifully, smaller portioned but both were just delicious. I preferred mine, he preferred his, so win win! The desserts were lovely too, but his won with the floating island Mango tartar over my brownie with salted caramel ice cream. For me the ice cream was a bit too salty for my taste, but still top notch. If you’re in the mood for a posh night out and some delicious gourmet seafood, look no further to this lovely designed restaurant in the Sheraton Park Towers(fyi, the google map is wrong for the Sheraton but right for the one-o-one location so follow the resto directions instead!)

I went hear on 3 course lunch for £19. Loved pretty much everything about it! My starter — a crab lasagna with squid and a tomato cream bisque — was heaven. Had lamb for my main, which was also brilliant. Dessert course was Camembert and Gruyère with red oak salad, raisin bread and quince jelly. The raisin bread may just be some of the best bread I’ve ever had in my life. Apparently if you go back for breakfast, they serve it with honey.
