Panino Giusto

Decent fancy place if you’re not starving, don’t have hours to kill but, importantly, haven’t booked a table in the City. They easily found us a table on a Friday lunchtime.
Nice atmosphere, got loud downstairs as it filled up though.
Food came out quickly, they put everyone’s orders together on one large plate for the table and dished out smaller plates. This was annoying for us vegetarians as our paninis were touching the bacon ones. I’m sure if we had requested them to be kept separately they would have obliged, but worth noting.
Food was expensive but you pay for quality, not quantity. Quite nice, but not worth writing home about either. Except for the French fries — some of the best I’ve ever had (but £4 for a small plate!). Bread on panini wasn’t toasted, but the fillings were tasty. It was all slightly salty, if I’m being fussy.

Relaxed. I’d say authentic but I have, frankly, no clue. I would suggest — and adding a pinch of romantic vision — the trendy Milanese might flock here whenever they miss a little Italian style, cooking and machismo? It is hard-​core Italian cool. The gin and tonics, whilst out of place, go down easy. I’m happy. (Nice service too).

I met my husband here for lunch on Monday… actually we didn’t know this place existed so we were meeting at the Royal Exchange and then spotted this place. The panini’s were amazing. Fresh ingredients & lots of it. We got a side of chips… I think they had truffle oil. amazing! So so good. My husband said it felt like we’d been to Italy for lunch. We’ll definitely be back.

First London branch of the Milan chain, feels like being in Milan!
The restaurant is developed on 2 floors, at street level and underground.
The menu presents a good selection of Panini with gourmet Italian ingredients, as well as salads and other plates. Must try the panini Savoy and the one with truffles, they are delicious.
Ideal for lunch during the week, if you have a bit of time to sit down
