This is my second visit to Pedler and I’ve noticed a difference since a year or so ago. It’s a really cute little breakfast place in Peckham and offers some really original dishes. The only thing is that I prefer the more traditional breakfast options, so when they added ricotta pancakes to the menu, I was more intrigued and went back this past weekend. As an American, I not only love pancakes, but find it my personal mission to hunt down some of the best pancakes in the city. I was nervous about the ricotta part, but let me tell you, it’s very subtle. The pancakes came out with some apple compote on top and warm butter and they were delicious! It was a dish of warm, fluffy, sweet happiness. And, filling! I had a hard time finishing it all. Also, if you like bacon, order some on the side there — it’s salty and sweet from being cooked in syrup — yum! I particularly enjoy the names of their food and drink orders — they’re all creative and playful. When the food comes out, it’s all on different places(all of which resemble French country kitchen) and the service is very friendly. I would definitely come back again!

I literally live 10′ from this place and without doubt has become one of my favourite places. They change their menu constantly and the food is always amazing! I always leave with an smile on my face. A MUST for those leaving in Peckham!

My tip said: «great Cocktails for £6?! We must be in Peckham…» — and yes, we were. Having never ventured down to Peckham previously, we had no idea what to expect. After departing the overground at Peckham Rye and being thrust into an absolutely cacophony of sound, sights and people on Rye Road — I had no idea where this little Pedler gem might be hiding. Is it in this fish market? What about piled up behind these bushels of yuca? Are those pigs hooves? Chicken heads? Ears of some unknown animal? Honestly, if you want to feel transported to another world, pop off the train at Peckham and go for a nosy. Regardless we finally found our way to Pedlar to meet some dear friends. They’d just had a new baby, we had our toddler in tow and we were all excited to catch up and enjoy a meal together. Until I saw Pedlar and its quaint and tiny little space jammed to the gills on a Sunday afternoon. «Oh no» I thought, we are going to have to go eat somewhere else. There is NO way we are getting in here with these babies without crushing someone, them, or being shamed on to the street by hipsters.(I like hipsters by the way, so this is not meant to be offensive, I probably shamed a parent or too in my youth as well!). But I shan’t have worried! We DID have a booking(kudos to our friend) and the day was saved. The buggies did need to be broken down and stored downstairs — which would have been fine had I not timed this entire operation perfectly down to the minute to have mine sleeping through brunch — only to be awoken upon the breakdown process. Sigh, so Peppa Pig and the Pedlar, that’s how he did his brunch(don’t judge me! I needed this!). Anyway, tl: dr the guys were really accommodating despite not being terribly child-friendly, and I really appreciated that immensely. We then took up the beautiful booth with plenty of room for everyone, ordered a round of cocktails(the Bloody Mary and Gin &Tonic were gorgeous ways to start), a smattering of Sunday roasts and pickles and were on our merry way to an absolutely excellent meal. Beef, lamb, puddings, cocktails, more wine, it was all on point and truly enjoyable. The place was stuffed each and every moment we were there, but we were never rushed and thus kept ordering and enjoying and finally once Peppa was no longer able to hold my son’s attention we departed full and happy and full of Sunday sweetness. I won’t be taking my child back here for my own sake of enjoyment, but I’d love to come back with friends or on a date. It’s got a great, cozy vibe with well curated menu and drinks, friendly staff and they are clearly doing many thing right over here. £160 split by 2 couples seemed well priced as well — where in Central London do you ever get the pleasure of a £6 cocktail? Nowhere, so best travel down here and check it out. *service is not included in the bill, so consider adding some if applicable. *MAKE A BOOKING.

Based on the other reviews, and the fact they serve Little Bird Gin, and that I was wandering around Peckham with a mighty thirst… I stopped in for a visit. The astro turfed bench sitting outside and almost John Waters-like exterior beckoned me to this rustic little place overlooking the edge of Peckham Rye park. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and I couldn’t wait to order. We came here primarily for a few drinks and will definitely be back for food. See the other reviews. The ‘Perfect G&T’ was indeed utterly divine: served with a big fat slice of grapefruit, it was a totally perfect thirst quencher on a humid evening. Downed that one. time for another drink… oh yes… the Lemon Merengue… I felt like I’d had a liquid cake running down my throat. Inside the restaurant is quaint and warm, like you’ve stepped into some nice beach house in Montauk(not sure what the UK version would be? Brighton, I suppose.) The real kicker for me were the Bose speakers in the bathroom. It just says quality all round. Can’t wait to return.

The owners have got it right with this place — great atmosphere, great coffee and great menu. The customer service is excellent and the whole place is pulled off with authentic charm, charisma and energy. Fantastic for a boozy brunch and basically enjoying the moment. The bruschetta with greens, mushrooms and a poached egg was very tasty, if a little small portion-wise. Mimosas and bloody Mary’s on tap. Loved it.

Great local restaurant. Sharing plates that are big enough to have on your own. Very cool interior. Arancini, beef meatballs, chips & fizzle chicken were my favs. Negroni cocktails are great. And the chocolate mousse was a fine ending to the meal. As Arnie says«I’ll be back».

It’s not only Bellenden Road that has all the cool places. It’s nice to have Pedlar further down this side of Peckham. it’s a trendy place to go for sure, especially if you’re looking for top notch cocktails and gin and t. Getting a decent table or reserving a table for dinner before 9.30pm can be difficult so book as far in advance as you can. The menu is exciting, it changes every day where the ingredients are locally sourced, however, the popular dishes usually sell out if you end up eating after 8.30pm. It tends to be hectically busy, the ordering process can be a bit stressful and chaotic. On our first visit we waited for our main course for over an hour. Luckily, the manager had noticed and gave us a discount. The food is generally delicious. It is worth a try if you have not been before.

A welcome addition to Peckham Rye, there really are a few options in this area now. We’ve had dinner and breakfast(at separate times!), both were good, dinner was better. The small plates set up isn’t a rip off. No dish was more than a tenner if I remember correctly and the portion sizes were very decent. Great bread and oil. A solid wine list and superb cocktails, also reasonably priced. Service was decent. The food came out promptly and the ambience very relaxed. Only gripe was the bartender, after recommending a great French white, decided to overpour the glasses which really winds me up. Will definitley return.

You know when you go to a really, really fun Christmas party… beer pong, mulled wine, bubbles and festively infused vodka drinks all seem like a good idea. But then you wake up the following morning with a pounding head and a resolution to never drink again… Well, my friends and I had one of those nights… and woke up a bit worse for wear on Sunday. However Pedler managed to save us. Pedler Brunch joy: — The boys tried the massive breakfast which included everything(bacon, beans, eggs, little gin sausage, mushroom and amazing maple-butter toast.) It was so huge that Marc lets me try some… I have to admit the maple butter toast was the highlight for me, but the sausage was gorgeous too.) — My friend tried the beans on toast(they looked amaaazing) — I tried duck on rosti with perfect poached eggs. Every single bite was looovely. We were sufficiently full of energy to contemplate heading into central London to finish off our Christmas shopping. So, thank you Pedler! *Apparently they also have amazing gin cocktails as their sister company is little bird gin… but I couldn’t even contemplate alcohol on Sunday morning.
