Very good. Served via Deliveroo, so I cannot comment on inside the restaurant experience. Our takeaway experience was great. All the phở was delivered in separate containers that allowed us the mix the contents right before eating(chicken/noodles, veggies/seasonings, and broth). Lots of chicken, veggies, and noodles in our chicken phở dishes. So good!

Love this place! I go there at least once a week with my BF. We both love Asian food and although this is probably not traditional Vietnamese food I love how fresh and healthy it tastes ! First time I went to Phở it was at their soho branch and I hated it. Everything was really greasy, the place was really loud… and I decided to try their battersea restaurant which is 2′ away from where I live. LOVED it! Try their phở, they are really tasty and arrive in no time(perfect if you’re in a hurry or super hungry after your Sunday 10k). You can add loads of extra fresh veggies(I always go for pak choi, mange tout and sugar snap peas), and their flowering jasmine tea is superb! Great service as well! Go :)

Just ordered lunch from here through deliveroo and the food was lovely. Fresh, delicious, healthy ingredients. Loved every bit of it! I ordered the pork spring rolls with the peanut dipping sauce and chicken bún, yummy stuff. Would definitely order again. Quick delivery too :)

I was starving and happy when we went in, and sated and happy on leaving. 2 companions had great phở, whilst i had a banana flower salad. There is the unavoidable aura of automatic chain processes — staff were helpful but perhaps overly scripted — after walking past signs shouting ‘Phở’ and ‘Vietnamese’, I did a double-take and had to confess I didnt understand the question when our waiter introduced the menu with ‘do you know what kind of food this is … do you know what nationality it is .?’, I ordered my salad with prawns rather than beef and initially it came with both. A couple of the prawn crackers managed to become soggy. My salad was very tasty but perhaps a little over dressed. Other than this however, food was thoroughly acceptable: summer rolls with softly fresh wrappers and crisply fresh fillings, phos had great flavour, a salt and pepper squid starter was perfectly cooked and an order-to-service time that was neither suspiciously fast or maddeningly slow. definitely happy to go there again and take friends

There aren’t many Phở options close to the Clapham area, and this one will meet your needs when you have a phở craving. The pork springrolls were good and the Vietnamese iced coffee was a little weak. The phở itself is about average but quite affordable. The serving sizes are decent and there is one serving size. All and all, it’s average phở at best. But the service is super friendly. And unless you want to invest in getting to other better locations,(they do exist but require commuting) this one will suffice. They will not WOW you with their food but they will feed you and do so with great service.

I had a free bowl of phở coupon from a Unilocal event earlier in the year and it was due to expire soon! I found out a couple of months ago that they opened up a branch in Battersea so thought it was perfect to visit. I was never that big of a fan of Phở as each time I’ve had food there I always think — where is the flavour? We shared the large crispy spring roll to share, chicken phở and phở xao as our mains. Like all of the other reviews, this place is surprisingly a lot better than the others! When the phở arrived, omg it has flavour!!! It was so much better than what I’ve had in the past. The soup is much more flagrant and full of chicken. The beef phở xao was delicious after splashing a bit of the fish sauce. After being thoroughly impressed, we will definitely consider phở to go — especially after seeing it costs a bit less reflecting the smaller portions.

Yes, Phở Café is a chain, and yes, they serve somewhat but not ridiculously Westernized Vietnamese cuisine, and no, it’s not the best bowl of beefy broth and noodles, but sometimes, Phở Café can be the right phở for its place and time. I’d been to other locations in London and stopped into the Battersea branch for a quick lunch. The Battersea location is stylish and distinctive, like its cousins in Fitzrovia, Soho etc. A lot of their locations are in historic buildings, or at least buildings with interesting stories. I also liked the soundtrack and the fact that they had wifi. I ordered what I almost always get — phở tai(phở with thinly-sliced steak), morning glory and iced coffee. All were fine. The broth maybe was missing something, but I can’t really put my finger on it and it tasted good, so I was satisfied. I also like the homemade chili paste and pickled garlic condiments. When I’m looking for phở in Battersea, I normally head to Mien Tay. It’s a little cheaper and the food is a little better, and they have a much bigger menu. The staff are all Vietnamese. However, Mien Tay’s atmosphere leaves something to be desired, and they only take cash and there’s no wifi. Mien Tay is good if you want a quick, delicious, no BS meal. This time, I was looking for a place where I could sit, relax, do some work and have a good lunch in the process. Phở Café fit the bill perfectly. It’s also great for a fun dinner out with friends. If memory serves, they have fun, Vietnamese-inspired cocktails, but this time, I was sticking to coffee and lots of it. If you are not super-familiar with Vietnamese cuisine, Phở Café gives a great introduction — staff are very friendly and willing to explain how to eat the various dishes. Despite being a chain, I think they prepare everything freshly on-site. If, like me, you would eat phở every day in an ideal world, Phở Café is still a good choice. These guys know what they’re doing and they do it well.

The staff are friendly enough if a little nannyish. There was a hint of a sneer when I asked for a spoon and fork. «Wrap your spring roll in the lettuce and dip it in the dipping sauce.» What a brilliant idea. Except the lettuce was as limp as a Danny la Rue handshake. The noodles in stock with beef was a shocker. The surface, glistening with greasy dawbs, did nothing to prepare me for the horror that waited below. Seven chewy shreds of beef with just enough flavour to take me back to my schooldays, when Surrey County Council delivered various odious concoctions in a van to the distress of me and all my schoolmates. £9.95? Never again

Quite nice, I’ll admit — well presented food, pretty prompt service, a nice, but small, selection of authentic beers(including both Lao and Saigon). I particularly liked the chilli squid to start. Think c£6 for starters, and about £8+ for mains, including assorted variations on the theme of phở and com thay. Two things I’d pick up on tho’; over eager wait staff trying to over inform customers(I’m a big enough boy to know that stuff with chillies in might be a bit spicey, but thanks), and … well I don’t want to be mean… but I can get a lot more food for the same money in other Vietnamese restaurants not far away(most notably Mien Thay on Lavender Hill). Admittedly, this place has a bit more polish, but call me a bluff old traditionalist, if I go to a Vietnamese restaurant, I take comfort in the chef and wait staff being, y’know, Vietnamese(which is self evidentially not the case here).

Oh, Phở. I love you so. I can’t believe it’s taken a couple months for me to get to my new«local» location! This Phở is really big and seems to be really well laid out. It’s across a couple levels and with lots of different types of seating. Service was great — there were a ton of servers working and 2 people who definitely seemed managerial were both checking in with tables and helping to manage people flow. Our main server was super friendly and helpful. I had the pork spring rolls with peanut sauce and then the phở ga(chicken). Yummy all around! We’ll definitely be coming here more often now that there’s a Phở so close.

I’m familiar with the other Phở locations and haven’t been too impressed. But I’m happy to report that this one is pretty good. I can eat a million of the prawn starter spring rolls with the best peanut sauce I’ve had in London so far. The banana leaf dish is really interesting in flavour and highly recommend. The bun is good too, solid of a dish and on the mild side. Thank god for Sriracha! I’ve had some of the Mocktails and can say they’re also very good. I don’t deviate from these items too often. I like them, I know they’re good. And so I stick with it. I just wish they had a Bahn Mi day, I’d be first in line! No Bahn mi’s this side of the river. Update: I ordered the banana leaf since and it was terribly sour and the manager was kind enough take it off the menu as she too had it for lunch and confirmed that it was bad. So I won’t be ordering that again.

This place pleasantly surprised me with the flavours in the food. The dishes are really close to what you’d find in Vietnam. I would recommend the salads and definitely give a few if the cocktails from the cocktail menu a try.

I’m a massive fan of Phở Café, been to the one near Spitalfields and this one is just as good. Pleasant little restaurant with friendly servers(from all different countries, I even heard an Amurrrrrican). We got some prawn crackers to share(which I’d never had before and am generally confused by… but I liked them in the sweet chili sauce that came alongside), and then we all got the Phở Bo Combo with steak, brisket, and meatballs. I thought it was lovely — flavorful broth, delicious meats, and lots of herbal flavor from the coriander and basil I added in. You can make it quite hot if you use the chili sauce that they have on the table — and watch out for the little red chilis! They seem small and harmless but if you get one on your tongue you’ll be coughing for a few minutes! I liked the brisket meat especially, definitely get a phở that includes some of that. Got some wonderful green beans and sugar snaps with peanut sauce — they had a delicious crunch and the sauce was sweet and addictive. I know it’s a chain but it’s a very good one! Anytime I see a Phở Café, I’m going in. Phở was £8.75 and it filled me up, but some of the hungrier boys in our group wanted more food than the phở was able to provide — it’s a big bowl but it is a light meal, really. So maybe if you’re starving, it won’t be your cup of tea. But actually, phở makes a great hangover cure! Don’t know why, all the liquid maybe hydrates you? Something about that fragrant broth will set your head back to rights again.
