Pitch 42 is my mirage on a bleak Saturday morning. When I see the golden tent popped up just before the Waitrose on Whitecross Market, my endorphins start to kick up… COFEEISCOMING to me. I will not be deprived. I might have an angry baby and very slow dog with me, but nothing will hold me back. The friendly chap behind the operation makes me a very large, very strong 3-shot latte. He smiles. He peddles Square Mile coffee beans and carefully crafted coffee drinks. He might be the perfect man. If you are on Whitecross Market on a weekend, there’s no shortage of good coffee. Fix is always a safe bet, Giddy Up in Fortune Street Park, and Pitch 42 when he’s here. And when he’s here, he’s the best option so flock to the golden awning and get yourself some of the macchiato magic, lovely lattes, marvelous mochas. I have many adjectives for Pitch 42 and they are all positive. £3.50 for that extra big, extra strong latte. Worth every p.

The best coffee in London. … … Oh okay, I’ll tell you more… Serving up a square mile roast these friendly chaps really know what they are doing. Amazing coffee with cherry and chocolate flavours. They don’t do filter and they don’t have a toilet. I still give them five stars. I think I have made my point.

This review is long past due. By far, the best flat white I’ve ever had in my life. Well, the best flat white of the non-dairy variety. Their non-dairy option is a mix of rice milk and wheat; on multiple occasions they’ve run out of one or the other, but graciously offered to mix a replacement later in the day if it was too bitter! The pretty poured design and drink smoothness always made my morning 20x better. Definitely worth the extra effort in the morning.
