Pizza at the palace is a resteraunt which you can rely upon, serving high quality meals at reasonable, but by no means cheap, prices. Just yesterday me, my familly and friends decided to go out for a meal. I have eaten here many times before, and so expected great things of the cooks and waiters. We arrived at half past six, and were promptly seated by the waitress. The waitress on duty had served my familly foid before, making the resteraunt feel quite friendly. Overall she was friendly, and the resteraunt clearly values its image and does not hire rude staff as many other chains do. Because there were eight of us there was no single table that could accommodate the entire group. Instead a round table was conjoined to the end of a rectangular one. This left my mother feeling a bit excluded from the group, however we quickly solved this issue ourselves. Again, we received excellent service from the waitress, especially considering that many of us were still fumbling around with the drinks menu. Once we all decided on our food ordering was quick and efficient. The first dish to arrive was my cheesy garlic bread, as well as our friends dough balls. I cannot speak for anyone else but i can say that my garlic bread was lovely, almost perfect if such a thing existed. It was not long until our main courses arrived. I had peperonni, lugancio sausage and chicken on a pizza. Unfortunately my pizza was not topped with any sausage, but luckilly had copious ammounts of chicken and peperonni. Too be honest this is the only reason i cannot award five stars. The pizza was still delicious any way. Next was pudding or «desert» if you are so inclined. I ordered chocolate fudge cake with icecream. The othet option was cream, which is nice as ut shows that the resteraunt values choice. And what followed was the only real disappointed of this outing. Firstly, the cake was advertised as moist. The cake was in no way moist, in fact it would have been more accurate to describe it as dry. The cake was also far too sweet and did not taste of fudge at all, only chocolate. And that concludes my review. If youre still unsure as of my opinion on this resteraunt, here it is: fantastic.

A family favourite one which we have been visiting for many years, since it was originally a Pizza Express. The staff are familiar faces and always accommodating as best they can. I would always recommend that you check their website as they often have deals on line which you might not get in store. The pizza are of a good size and they now do calzone, 11&14 inch pizzas with a variety of different toppings, they have lunch time meals deals as well as deals on the menu, two main meals for a reduced price kind of thing. I believe there is something for everybody on the menu It can get busy n there and a bit on the noisy side, but it kind of adds to its charm. It is still for all intense purpose a pizza express, you can see where they make the pizzas the chefs make the food. they have a well stocked bar. They never seem to be in a rush to get you out of the place so you can continue to chat once your meal is finished. Its a good place for family meals, a place to reminisce.

Located in the popular Crystal Palace area where there are lots of different restaurants around, many have come and gone but this restaurant has been around for a very long time and the staff have stayed true to the restaurant also. Originally a Pizza Express, it seems to have mirrored itself along the same lines with their menu being very similar, you can see the pizza being made much like the PE restaurants so can see it is all freshly prepared. Service has always been very good and this is a great family place to come for a meal with lunchtime and evening service as well as take aways. The restaurant is always busy which is a good sign of good food and service. Bills come without the pressure of service charge added so you can leave a tip with as much or little as you like rather than it being demanded of you. Would recommend for young families, couples, friends catching up, etc.
