Plaza on the River – Club & Residence

My niggles and why I give it 4 stars.
The automatic adding of 12.5% to every bill. OK. I don’t mind paying for good customer service, but what customer service is needed in my purchasing a bottle of wine to take to my room? None. The wine was already £28, then add a further £3.5 for customer service. Nope doesn’t make sense to me.
Their response doesn’t quite get the point:
«Should you not be happy with the service you received or you have questions about the level of service, we are more than happy to take it off from your account or the dedicated manager/​supervisor to discuss any concerns with you.»
The restaurant. Again great staff, but I thought the food over-​engineered, hence the high price. It was all supposed to be a treat, but somehow I felt conned. Sorry, perhaps I’m not a designer-​type foodie.
Would I stay there again when in London? Perhaps not. Will try:

Elemis soaps and shampoos helped me relax. Love this. It’s so wonderful that I gave the full 5 stars despite the issue below.
My issue and it is not minor is that there is major construction we didn’t know about outside alongside the river and very noisy construction above us which I feel they should have told us about. They may be adding a floor above. It made it very difficult to rest especially upon arriving when it was much needed.
