We were moved with a small amount of attitude from the table we had selected(not marked reserved) to a smaller table that could not quite accommodate us(that was actually marked reserved). This left me somewhat perplexed and a beer called Ulysees by the Cottage Brewery was far from being good enough to distract me from the puzzle.

What a wonderful place run by such friendly people. The Harveys on cask is exceptional. The food delicious. The ambiance is good local uk pub. Loved it and stayed much longer than anticipated because of how wonderful it was. If you’re visiting Greenwich it is a must stop.

My local boozer. I am so nervous about reviewing this pub. Oh, no, not because it’s awful — because it’s that good and it’s my local. You see, the tourists that flock to Greenwich still haven’t found out about it and I fear too many reviews of this place will let the secret out. Old and cosy, kind of reminds you of Cheers as far as atmosphere. Tasty pub grub and a fireplace for those chilly autumn and winter drinking sessions. Many stop here to just enjoy their paper in the afternoon or after a walk in Greenwich Park. Plume of Feathers has a beer garden for the rare summer days in London and a restaurant area just off the pub. Wherever you park in here, you will feel welcome and as if you are in your living room(the essence of a public house).

Just like having a drink in your own living room. Nice selection of drinks and good home cooked food. Lovely for a drink and bite to eat after a walk around Greenwich Park.

Set away from the main road, this pub really feels like a spot for locals. We went in to watch football as England were playing and there was a nice atmosphere. Reminded me of my local pub back in Hastings, definitely doesn’t feel like a London boozer. Coke was a bit flat, but that always seems to be the case in traditional pubs like this. Also a nice garden out back and a restaurant too.

this is a very very old, lovingly kept, bustling pub with eating space at the back. I’ve only been once, on a Fri night — the clientele were a mix of well-to-do Park Vista locals, blokes having a pint en route home, some tourists, and young families having supper. Its very cheerful, not terribly spacious but that all adds to the atmos. Authentic English pub, just the job.

A lovely little pub hidden away at the bottom of Greenwich park in South East London. This is a very traditional old style pub with a very cosy feel to the insides. The restaurant serves a great beef burger and staff are friendly with good service. Make your way down here after a stroll in the park on a cold Winter’s day for a great pint and a bit of grub to warm you on your way.

The Plume of Feathers is a lovely traditional pub near Greenwich a short walk from Maze Hill station. Situated alongside Greenwich Park, the pub is only a short walk from any landmarks in the Greenwich area. It is well worth seeking out; a little off the beaten track and populated by locals rather than tourists it’s a comfortable little boozer. The Plume of Feathers may well be small and traditional but it boasts a large garden, full of seating and a small restaurant style area of the pub. The food remains untried but looks rather good. Traditional pub food and sunday lunches, the portions do look impressive although prices are pushing a little towards top end. The garden is large enough and well blessed with flowers and trees and bugs. There’s plenty of plastic seating the only problem will be children running around, potentially annoying but found without any or good parents on location one can pass a long afternoon here. Be warned the garden is set up to cater for them with its array of toys and what not. The pub serves plenty of real ale, on my last visit they had award winning Sussex ale, but you’ll find Pride, Adnams and Haveys. There’s a lovely roaring fire place and the bar itself is lovely old fashioned and dark, the interior very much how a pub should feel. The staff and landlady have always been very friendly and barring the rather small toilets there is not much to fault with the Plume of Feathers.
