Food was of reasonable quality but not as advertised, my chicken and bacon pod had no bacon and my friends chicken soup had no chicken. Very disappointed. Also, poorly laid out store.

First off, super friendly service. Well done! They were out of the veggie curry when I came(and I had been looking forward to it so!), so I had to go with the soup. It was super spicy and not very substantial. Apparently it was healthy though! I might have to go back to try the curry, but I won’t get that soup again.

I ADORE pod. It’s a chain restaurant in London(maybe the rest of Europe? Not sure, I know there aren’t any in Barcelona, Paris and Amsterdam). They have lovely salads, wraps, «detox bowls» and hot foods. My favorite is the salmon detox bowl, which has kelp noodles, green salad, ginger, half an avocado with salmon and this seaweed wrap that has raw salmon, greens and some other yummy but healthy things in it. It also comes with a soy sauce based dressing for your wrap and the rest of the box. It’s pretty cheap, at around 5 pounds for lunch. My detox bowl was a little over 5 pounds and I felt great eating it! It’s rather small, but it was filling enough for me for lunch. If you come to Pod an hour before they close, you get 50% off everything in the fridge! Also, unlike other chains(I’m looking at you Toss), their yogurts also go on sale an hour before closing. For dinner one night, I got the salmon detox box with a greek yogurt, banana and grape sauce parfait for a little over 3 pounds. I definitely recommend Pod for reasonably priced, fresh, healthy lunches and early dinners! I’ll be back the next time I get back to London.

I’m a big fan of Pod and I have to admit I’m almost addicted to their slow-burner salad(add: chicken & egg). I know, I know, it’s a(small) chain, but at least they have read my mind about wanting to eat a healthy meal… fast! You go in, grab the salad box from the fridge, mention to the clerk what you want to add to it and moments later you’re out on the street again! The other day, we had a team lunch and I had my colleagues choose from the menu what they wanted and I then came to this branch here at Goodge Street to pick up the lunch. Everyone enjoyed it and while it probably is a little bit more expensive than Eat, Pret & Co., I believe it’s tastier and more gratifying.

Where else can you get a fresh root ginger, quinoa, agave nectar and pistachio superfood tub for breakfast in London(for only £2!)?

I’m not a big fan of Pret, Eat, Starbucks, Nero or the like, so when I stumbled on Pod I didn’t really expect much. But I was starving and it was there. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised when I ordered a Thai red curry and found it to be extraordinarily tasty. I came back again a few weeks later just to check that it wasn’t because I was just famished that day and anything would’ve tasted good. I was pleased again with my meal; the chicken Bengal curry. Today is the third time I’m here and I’m eating the Bengal bean curry-I don’t even like beans and this is really very tasty. All the hot meals are extremely filling in the way that they should be-I’m not uncomfortably stuffed but I know I won’t be hungry again for a good few hours. All the hot dishes come with a lovely edemame side salad and all seem to have lots of fresh coriander(bonus for me as it’s my fave). It’s only lost a star because maybe it’s on the more expensive side, then again it’s good ingredients and you can tell. Also by the time I get here at around about 4 many of the hot dishes are finished: maybe that’s because they are yummy.
