Pomme De Pain

For the two weeks I stayed around the corner from this friendly café, I must have eaten here four or five times and I enjoyed all but one of the sandwiches. They have a pretty good deal for an enormous baguette sandwich, potato wedges and a soft drink. I loved the ham and cheese and had that one at least twice. I also enjoyed the coffee here.
My first day in London, I stopped in here to get warm and to fuel up with caffeine and we had a little bit of a misunderstanding. I wanted a latte and they gave me an espresso with steamed milk — in a shot glass. Not being one to complain, particularly when it was probably my explanation of what I wanted that caused the confusion to begin with, I downed the shot and enjoyed the quick kick of warmth and caffeine before venturing out to get a lay of the land nearby the hotel. I figured out the trick to ordering for the next time and thoroughly enjoyed coffees here regularly.
The staff here really are very friendly and your food order pops up very quickly. I wish I had one of these near the office.

Great sandwich joint with really friendly staff and lively atmosphere. One of the tables turns into a ping pong table so kids and adults can play. The baguettes and coffee are fresh, recommended for students and anyone looking to have a relaxing sit down in somewhere new!
