When you get tired of spending your hard earned cash at the Liberty haberdashery why not pop around to Pret for a salad. That’s what I did and it was spiffingly good value. Fresh salads and beet juice, plus I have my Liberty print handkerchief to mop away the tears of joy.

My ham and cheese croissant and oj lunch was pleasantly accompanied by a very cute server who asked me to come back tomorrow. Word of advice: promises of returning to chain store on a regular basis is only guaranteed by free food/beverages. Otherwise, I must say this store baked the premade– ham and cheese croissant very well, not too soggy and crispy(but not burnt!). And the fact that this store is right next to the mothership Liberty totally bumped it up to 4 stars.

Every time I visit London, I always find myself stopping at a Pret. Why? Because I always find reliable freshly made food that I can either enjoy at a Pret or takeaway with me. Pret also has really great smoothies and juices available. The triangle sandwiches are among the best I’ve had from any grab-n-go places so far. This particular Pret is situated in a nice open area with some outdoor seating. They always have a nice selection of hot/cold sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Thank you Pret for being my default grab-n-go lunch spot!

Pret a Manger is a convenient, yummy, reliable lunch place. They have a decent variety of sandwiches, soup, and sushi to choose from, but their selection almost never changes. If you find something you like there, you can be decently assured it’ll be around for awhile, but if you, like me, enjoy checking out the new daily or weekly specials at places like Eat, you will be quite disappointed by the seldom-changing selection at Pret. The hot sandwiches, which each have something I don’t like on them, haven’t changed for the more-than-a-year that I&
