This place is massive. It has a nice café to the a Side when you enter selling all kinds of coffees from flat whites to mochas to gourmet options like gingerbread latte, tiramisu latte, and a range of hot chocolates. For food, you can go to the fridge and help yourself to a nice tandoori or Mexican wrap, a sandwich or a salad. There is a lot of seating and standing room too. Great place to go for a quick bite to eat.

With fast service and eye balls on the departure board, there is no reason to ever miss a train at Waterloo.

After seeing Pret a Manger on travel channel’s Fast Foods Gone Global and my Unilocalfriend Scott S. checking in there in NY every day, I wondered what it was really like. This Pret location is on sort of a mezzanine level in Waterloo Station requiring stairs up because the escalator goes to the floor above it. We were impressed with the selection of sandwiches, salads, pastries, drinks, and snacks offered. For those who don’t know, Pret a Manger means Ready to Eat in French. My mom loved the small bags of dried mango and the different snack bars. For breakfast I had mango and lime with a delicious green smoothie(see photo). I ended up trying a nori smoked salmon wrap at the Pret I visited in Paris, but heck, anything Asian-inspired gets me excited. The service here is very friendly and this would be great in any city Free wifi!
