This shop is an amazing source of quirky gifts for your friends and for you as well! I truly recommend to stop by and get lost in that colours explosion :) The chinese cups are kind of amazing and cute and the same time! Be ready to spend some money: D

So many things I’d like to get, I have a couple of their products, a pizza cutter, a peeler, some pens… It’s all quirky and at the same time functional, what’s even nicer is that for a lot of the products, when you’ve found the one you want on display, the staff will get a brand new one in packaging for you so you have one that hasn’t been handled by who knows how many people. Lots of things that I’d like to get if I had money/space, I think they’re kitchenware is possibly a little too form over functional for me(my culinaryware is definitely the other way around!) but for the decorative stuff, definitely fun! Can be a little pricey but worth a visit.

Once upon a time, this place was called Octopus and I loved everything in there. It was as if they had stolen all of the colours in the universe and thrown them at every conceivable day-to-day item for use in the home, at the office, flying through the air, relaxing on the beach and every other possible situation one might encounter during life. Thanks to these geniuses of decoration, I own a penguin-shaped ice scraper and a wonderfully functional yellow purse, adorned with a veritable meadow of flowers. Then one day I walked past and big boards had been erected all around the windows. And it was all like«oh bye, we’re going now, Pylones is coming». And I was thinking — who are these Pylones and what have they done with my beloved Octopus? And all the work started and there was painting and building and sawing and stuff. And then the boards came down and lo and behold, the new shop was… .. . exactly the same as the old one. No really, exactly the same. Then I had a look at my purse and realised that the zip tag says Pylones on it. So I guess it’s kind of like when Jif turned into Cif to appease the Europeans, or Opal Fruits became Starburst(boo) because — well — I never quite worked that one out. But I guess it’s something along those lines. And it was good because all of those amazingly beautiful objet du kitsch are all still available for me to run my sticky fingers over and gaze at in lustful wonder. I’ve still not worked out why it involved a full-scale close-down, rearrangment and remodel of the shop when the layout looks exactly the same but hey, I guess they just wanted to shake things up. And that’s fine by me. I like a good shake-up. Keeps me on my toes.

Octopus is interesting, good for little gifts. I got my granny a plastic make up bag with pressed flowers in it, she really liked it actually. It is a very colourful place indeed, and makes you happy. I am not normally that into little bits and bobs but opctopus is quite funny, with little homey things that you would not normally think of as novelties, such as salt and pepper shakers.

I really love browsing in Octopus as the store is always so colourful and seems to lift your mood just stepping inside! The shop stocks gorgeous gifts and home wares that are rather on the quirky side and but very kitsch and unique — I bought some polka dot cutlery from here and absolutely love using it when I have dinner guests(it also seems to detract from my terrible cooking skills). It is also super for presents and the prices aren’t actually as expensive as you may imagine. The staff are as bright and perky as the objects in the shop and make it a great shopping experience.

This store is perfect for buying presents that are cute, original and don’t break the piggy bank. They have a vast variety of knick– knacks from French brand Pylones, I first saw this brand in Paris and fell in love with its whimsical products, they have a range of stuff for the house, like funny cheese graters, and for children fun toys. When I found out that now I can get their stuff in London I was ecstatic. The store is so colorful; the girls that work there are so up beat and the music is so catchy that you want to hang around and get something even if you don t need it. I love this place
