Would never go back for just one reason: bitchy Vietnamese waitress scowled the entire time we sat. No response when we thanked her for giving us the menus(no «sure», «no problem», nothing) or no courtesy shown when we asked questions. When we asked for the dinner menu to see the two-course £11.95 special, same scowl. Left after 5 minutes of sitting and I complained to the manager. This crap would never fly in the US. If she’s fired, I might return.

This branch was very friendly and we had a lovely waitress who was chatty and informative. Richoux Club was very tasty and contained wonderful grilled chicken, smoky bacon and fresh lettuce and tomato. Chicken Escalope was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by tasty spaghetti. We ended our meal with a very fresh Éclair au Café. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and we enjoyed our lovely lunch.

I had to have a «traditional» English breakfast before I left. The service was fine, but either they had an unexpected b-fast rush or they were just understaffed. The wait was a little long, but the waitress was pleasant and polite. The food was great! I had the standard bacon, sausage, toast, beans, tomato, mushrooms, etc. and it was all very flavorful and good. Would definitely recommend it.

What a trainwreck. Slow, inattentive service: the restaurant only had a few tables seated and several servers conversing behind the counter and only two servers actually(though glacially slowly) waiting tables. Food was a tired, sad take on the French bistro theme circa 1970. As icing on the cake, the cakes were stale and everything was considerably overpriced(yes, even for the area).

I am a regular customer to Richoux Saint John’s Wood. Why? because their food is amazing and their staff are super friendly and nice. The restaurant is considered very cheap compared with other similar restaurants in London. It has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere and has the touch of a classy style. My favorite dishes are their Marinated Olives, Calamari, Portobello Pizza, Escalope of chicken Milanese, and Mushroom risotto. Each time I have friends over, I invite them to Richoux and they all love the food and atmosphere. Will definitely visit them again.

Service takes a while and the wait staff is limited but they are very nice. I just popped in after a day of shopping in St John’s Wood neighbourhood. Very affluent neighbourhood and great shops in a quiet but bustling area. Greeted and seated right away. It’s tea time here so lots of people coming in for a pot of tea, a snack, a cocktail or out version of ‘dinner’. We had prosecco and wine and we snacked on focaccia, tomato, avocado and buffalo mozzarella with pesto. It was very nice! It’s a great spot for a lighter fare. It took a while to pay our bill due to limited staff. Will return. Wifi isn’t the greatest though.

Dreadful old out of touch place that excels in mediocrity. Suggest they deploy high quality explosives and start again…

This place offers all day breakfast which is convenient! The onion soups are not very flavorful so we would not recommend getting that. The All Day Breakfast has lots of food for decent price. The orange juice is supposedly fresh squeezed, but the taste makes me feel that it is not so. Overall I would say it is decent and would come here for pure breakfast only. My friend had the salmon Benedict and would not recommend it.

I stopped here for a cappucino and despite its premium price it was the weakest wateriest capuccino I have ever had in London. Staff were surly and did not crack a smile. The décor is pretty and it is quiet-thats the best that can be said.

While my friend didn’t enjoy his food, my problem was with the service. Another table got served the soup that my two friends ordered. Then there was an ant that crawled across our table and the waiter killed it with his finger and let the remains on the table. My order wasn’t made correctly(missing ingredients that was listed on the menu) and the side didn’t come with the meal, I had to re-ask for it. Plus, we asked for more soda and water and the waiter decided to take a smoke break for 10 minutes, leaving us without anything to drink. We had to ask someone else.

This place has potential but was just OK for breakfast this week. The food was OK, the service OK, and the latte a bit weak. The location is fantastic if meeting in SJW, but the product could be better.

Richoux prides itself on its lunches, teas and dinners — it’s only the latter I can comment on. The place is a bit of a mixed bag, feeling like a cross between Paris and Manhattan, with food that’s a mixture of the eponymous brasserie-style French dishes and international delicacies as varied as a Japanese teriaki and a wide variety of Italian pasta and risotto dishes. There is no question that the menu is very broad and there was very little left on the plates of my fellow diners. As far as the main meals were concerned, the portions weren’t huge, but they were tasty, filling and well-priced for a restaurant in this area, with aspirations to the grandeur it clearly has. The starters seemed a little over-priced though, with soup in excess of £5 a bowl. There is also a £5 cakeage fee, should parties bring celebratory cakes with them. Given that this applied in my case, I can’t really comment on the desserts, but the cake-counter was certainly filled with a wide variety of appetizing prospects. While there are no complaints about the kitchen — whether the choice of dishes, the way they were prepared or the speed of the delivery — perhaps the weakest element of the dining experience was the rather inattentive waiting staff. Sometimes, in a restaurant, you want to be left alone — but there are other times when you need an extra drink or someone’s itchy to pay and go — and the waiters should at least glance in your general direction from time to time, just in case.

It has been refurbished to a different look now, but doesn’t change too much. Cream tea is recommended, I love their clotted cream and their scones are good(take away 20p each), and the chocolate éclair was my sister’s favorite. Problem is that they are slow, so you better have time to wait for your food, read a book or chat with your friends while you wait.
