This place is no longer called Rickshaw Catering. It is now called DOUBLE HAPPY, which I am sure you will agree is a fantastically Oriental inspired title for a takeaway. Double Happy. Sounds like a cockney proclamation of satisfaction — «I was Double Happy wiv that brass that only cost me a score down York Way». Love it.
So on to the food — very standard old-​school English variant on Chinese food all in all. The classic dishes such as Salt and Pepper King Prawns, Roast Chicken Chinese style and Mixed Hot Appetisers are actually the best choices from the menu. The Won-​Ton Soup is also a good choice, but I have not had it since the time that I found a FEATHER in my soup. Watch the rice and noodle dishes as well — very greasy and the meat and vegetables included can look very suspect.
There is no dining area here — simply a few seats, a counter and a broken fruit machine. Essential components in any Chinese takeaway of note.
