Twists is pretty much a greasy spoon with a broader menu. However, I can’t say that I have ever had anything other than greasy breakfast here, due to the fact that the lunch menu is pretty bland and there are so many better café /​sandwich shops in this area i.e. Nelson’s and Canella.
What Twists has done for me on many occasions is salvage me from a mighty over-​hung state due to Thursday being the new Friday. Just to say, I’ve always thought that it was a strange proclamation to make — «Thursday is the new Friday». It makes it really tricky planning meetings at work and the weekend never seems to follow a Thursday.
For a decent bacon sandwich this is a brilliant place — but how on earth do they make it Halal?!?
