I love the Rising Sun. They have a roast on Sundays and otherwise a nice following of folks from the neighbourhood who for the most part are not living in the pricy sections of Belgravia. When I finish up at the Orange I trot over here for local gossip and colour. The food is consistently good and the pubcrawlers charming. They have a little space to eat outside when the weather is nice otherwise stay at the bar and belly up for a chat with any of the folks who come as they are always happy to gossip. One can also sit out front but that reminds me of front stoop sitting so I avoid it.

Lovely local pub. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Outside space. A gem to have around.

This pub is awesome ! It’s very popular and the locals really like to come here. The service is great from start to finish and the prices are acceptable. Last week, one of the waitresses told me that they are preparing new menus at the moment, and I can’t wait to see them.

My husband and I spent several evenings here when visiting London from Australia recently. We liked its position which was central for us sightseeing. The managers and staff were friendly and helpfull and the food was tasty and well presented. The atmosphere was welcoming which is important to us tourists and the pub was cosy inside but provided smoking areas for us outside also. We felt like family returning after the second visit. I would highly reccomend to visiters.

Dependable, local boozer, with an unpretentious crowd of local people from the surrounding estates, office workers and the like. Despite its proximity to Sloane Square, this is definitely not a Sloane Ranger joint. From the outside it looks like a 1960’s house, but the interior has wooden floors, is tastefully wood panelled with Victorian prints, and there’s a nice but small outside area at the rear. Beer includes Young’s Ordinary and Charles Wells Bombardier, usually well kept, though the choice of wines is a bit more limited. They do the usual range of standard pub grub, which is OK but not outstanding. Overall, probably the best pub in this part of London, along with the Fox & Hounds in Passmore Street.
