Aside from the sterile canteen-like décor, the food was bland, tough, cold, and the moody guy who served the meat never smiled, hardly spoke, with a general«I don’t want to work today» attitude. If the tip hadn’t already been included in the bill, we wouldn’t have given any. And considering I am vegetarian and only used the salad bar, I ended up with stomach ache! Never again!

First impressions of this restaurant is that of a second rate half board hotel canteen. The lighting is too bright and the general furnishing could do with some varnish. We were explained the method of ordering which I still wasn’t too sure about after the second time of explaining. There was a buffet selection of food which didn’t look at all appetising. I settled for some lasagne. As you eat you are presented with meats on a skewer. I had a sausage that was so bitter it was inedible and not cooked through properly. My mother had some chicken which was still raw in the middle. At this point I called over the manager and complained. He was not very open to what I was trying to say coming up with excuses as to why the meat was being served raw. In the end I suggested that a visit by the FSA may be in order at which point he backed down. The rest of the food was bland and pretty much disgusting. We managed to get 25% off which I still find insulting as none of us were happy with the food. Avoid like the plague.

All the occasions I have been here happens to be when someone has a groupon voucher deal, where you get a slight discount and a free cocktail. Rodizio is essentially a meat haven for all those big meat lovers out there, but I guess after the first few times, even myself a once«supreme meat eater» felt I would rather prefer quality over quantity. Not saying that the food was bad at all, grilled meat on skewers brazillian style, cant do much wrong. Chicken wings lovely and juicy, lamb and beef steak, not bad, the shish kebab and ribs were slightly tough to chew through and there was chicken hearts for those with special taste buds. You will find it eventually too salty, as you eat and eat, 2nd, 3rd and 4th serving. 1st occasion I went, they ask if I like medium or rare and would cut the meat off the skewers accordingly, second and third time, they didnt bother, so I got pretty much the same cooked meat. I guess its quick and easy to serve, I did not touch the salad /anti pasta bar — did not look appetising, quite heavy food, how can one eat lasagne and a plate loaded with meat. However I realise that it could be an alternative for those who prefer not to eat meat. The vibe at the restaurant was good, ambient and casual and the staff were friendly and attentative, they did come round too quick though, didnt feel we had time to breathe before each meat serving. This is where they have this green red card toaster flip system, green to keep it coming, or red to stop. I did enjoy it here and would probably come here if I ever needed a meat fix, which means not anytime soon. I believe they can improve on their quality and choice, and would then have given them an extra star rating.

Warning: If you’re a vegetarian, I seriously would not bother with this restaurant. The veggie options are quite limited, and you’re going to be coming face to face with many, MANY dead and bleeding animals being carved into tiny slices in front of your face. If you’re not vegetarian, however, I would assume that this is the main appeal of the place. The trouble is, almost all the meats served are pretty rare and dripping with red juices… this wasn’t an issue for my group generally, but for someone who likes their meat extremely well done(I usually ask for it to be cremated to ensure the animal doesn’t suffer whilst I chew it)… it limited my options only to the pork, the very outer slices of other meats… and a hell of a lot of sausages. The rest of the buffet food was actually extremely delicious. The rice was a little undercooked for my liking, but certainly not unpleasant. The mixed vegetables, lasagne, and other«help yourself» dishes were really nice… but to be honest, the main reason to come here is for all the meat they bring to your table. Service is quick. Too quick. Every few minutes, we were being presented with yet another half cooked cow, a skewer of sausages or chicken hearts, a slab of lamb… ham… more chicken… here’s some more lamb, chicken hearts anyone, topside, rump… Turning over the GO card so that it read STOP didn’t really help much, because they still come over to check the bloody card! It’s not a bad place to go to eat, and if you want to ensure you are constipated for days, and then wish to drop the heaviest shit of your life… after spending 3 days in a meat coma… then this is definitely the place for you. If you like your meat rare. It’s not cheap, and drinks in particular are quite pricey. The salad options were a little lacking, but what they had was fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and(as mentioned earlier) almost –too– attentive. If you absolutely love meat, then this place is a minimum 4 star for you. If you’re vegetarian, it’s probably maximum a 2 star. I’m sort of in the middle, given that I do enjoy meat… but I’m a little too particular on how I like it to fully enjoy a restaurant like this.

TERRIBLE, OVERPRICED, OVERCOOKED!!! I have been to this place before and it was good. Generally Brazilian BBQ places are known for a wide variety of tasty meats and a deliciously fresh salad bar. We had NONE of that tonight! ALL of the meat was over cooked, over salted and completely lacked variety. The salad bar lacked fresh options and was all either fried or dripping in cheese or mayo. For 2 adults and 2 kids we paid £80 and all left feeling unsatisfied and a bit ill! UGH!

TWOWORDS. MEATCOMA. Because where else are you going to take a bunch of total group of manly manliest of men.(Ok. So my brothers and cousins are all wimps but they’re of the XY gene so they have caveman instincts when it comes to meat.) So if you haven’t gleaned from the review. This place serves meat. Like a serviced buffet. Switch your green card up and waiters will come to your table offering varieties of lamb, pork, chicken, beef AND offal. Not only that, the set price of 21 squids will also get you an unlimited self serving salad and food bar. This all seems like pretty good value — if you’re a meat lover and can eat a lot, which isn’t great for me. I didn’t really enjoy the salad bar. And the meat was a little bit salty for my tastes. And some meat was a bit tough. Also I’m just not a fan of chicken hearts. But the boys Loved it. But we’ve already established they are cave men. We even started turning away food because we were too full.(The easy way– flip the red card side up.) So, We had meatless Monday today. The boys looked at their dinner plate glumly compared to Sundays meat feast.

I went to this restaurant last sunday after a ride on the cable car. My wife, little girl and I were feeling hungry and wished to try something new. I had a previous experience of Rodizio in Barcelona(Spain) when i was younger, for which I decided to try this one. The experience was fantastic. Although the price per person(£19 without drinks or dessert) felt a little bit too much, once you see the huge variety of salads and hot starters you reconsider you r opinion on price. The salads were all fresh and apealing as it was the huge assortment of hot starters. A cook was renewing it periodically. once you have ordered your drink and went for your starter, a waiter comes every 2⁄3 minutes with a a different kind of meat(veil, chicken, lamb, pork) and offers ti to you. if you agree, he serves you as many helpings as you wish. after that, he will come back with something different and so on. The meats were nicely cooked and of quality. No cheap stuff. The veil was tender and the lamb was mouthwatering. The service was great and the restaurant clean and comfortable. It was worth everypenny and I cannot wait to come back. FAntastico!!!

We went as a work party of 25. Despite paying a deposit already, they didnt supply a table big enough for our group, so had to move other diners nearby. Other reviewers have mentioned a band, but I dont remember one or any music at all! We requested that we buy our own drinks from the bar, because its unfair to divide the bill up & expect those not drinking to pay for others that do. After much discussion with the server & the manager, they said we couldnt on health & safety reasons! They said it was too packed in there to have people walk to the bar & back. This is despite the fact that you have to walk to & from the buffet with plates of food & the servers are carrying around 1m skewers with enormous carving knives! The buffet was ok. A fair selection of salads, rices & fried things, but the ‘hot’ side was only luke warm. The meats coming around on the skewers were tasty, but some were rather chewy, despite them being rare-medium. I did see well done meats come around too, but these must have been like leather. The ‘ribs’ were brought around on plates & were bone free. They were however just clumps of fat & sinew with very little meat. Rather tasteless too. I had a cocktail(£7) which was less than half full & the rest was ice. This soon turned into a massive block at the top of the drink– not very good value. Overall the food was ok, but I wouldnt be rushing back.

This place was ok, not good enough for me to come back though, the service is a lil too fast for you to enjoy what’s on your plate, they come over to you with meat constantly and don’t give you enough time finish what’s on your plate, basically a way to make people get stuffed very quick and leave without eating their money’s worth, it’s not worth the money IMO and I wouldn’t bother going back, the food ain’t that great

A large, no nonsense Brazilian meat-o-rama. The salad bar area is a little under populated and there seemed to be no horseradish. Isn’t this the UK? No horseradish? I dunno. Meat comes quickly and there’s a nice variety although we only saw a sword of lamb once. I found the sausage worth a pass(never had bad sausage in the UK). Most of the meat has a good dose of salt before they slip it into the roaster. If you’re from a culture where they’re going easy on the sodium these days, the salt might jump out at you. The desserts are actually quite horrible and can be ignored. I had the ice cream and acai berry sundae and it was just kind of rank.

This place is a meat-eaters dream come true. You just take a plate and add some bits from the all you can eat buffet and then sit down at your table. Then just wait for the meat to start coming. about 510 waiters will walk around the restaurant and carve meat for you at the table. Once you are full from the meat and buffet just turn the little coaster on your table from green to red and they will stop coming to your table. This is a great experience and is something very different to just ordering in a normal restaurant. The price is good at about £22 per head for all you can eat. The restaurant is based in the O2 and is huge inside with an upstairs too.

We were in the O2 stadium for Barclays ATP finals… went there around 5pm and still there was no place to sit… so we waited at the bar… ordered Caipirinha(strong Brazilian drink)… then we moved on to our table near the bar grill… there are 2 options for food: 1) prime cut bbq meats for gbp 23.50 and 2) vegeterian gbp 18… they keep bringing u endless supplies of bbq meats/vegetables… and also included is a huge salad bar with pasta and other dishes. we opted for choice # 1… food was great but a lil salty. i guess that’s how it’s supposed to be … i m sure we added an inch or 2 to our waist :) staff was friendly and attentive… would certainly go again whenever i m in london…

I have dined at three different branches of Rodizio Rico … but i shall be reviewing the one at O2 since this is the only one that i have tried more than once. Rodizio Rico is a meat eater’s paradise, and also a vegetarian’s hell. The most striking thing about this restaurant is not the food, but the way the food is presented. There isn’t an a-la-carte menu. One has to choose between a meat and a vegetarian platter(yes yes, that exists !! more on it later). There is a set buffet from which you can take fillers like rice and beans and salads and chickpeas and some non-vegetarian curries, and the meat is served on the table. This is the most unique part of the meal. Servers go around the dining hall carrying huge chunks of meat in skewers several feet long, and carve the meat pieces at the table onto the plates directly. My vegetarian friends would almost certainly have freaked out at this. The meats are good. You have a wide variety of alternatives available … from steak to chicken wings to pork ribs to lamb to fish. Sure, you don’t have a choice on how its cooked(rare or well done), but there are so many options, i am pretty sure that you will find quite a few to your taste. The list of available drinks is extensive and the cocktails are moderately priced at around £8. The meat meal costs £23 which is very good value for money. However the vegetarian version costs £18. For what ?, those salads? That’s too much I reckon. But not many people go for that in my opinion. Rodizio Rico is a great place for eating unlimited non-vegetarian food and that’s it’s USP. Vegetarians will be well advised to stay away.

The food was good and the variety was enough to keep you happy. 16 different types of meat and a good salad choice with some curried meats too. The beer offerings were a little limited and the tables could have been more comfortable. Staff we attentive and helpful and worth the 9% imposed tip

An amazing authentic Brazilian buffet style restaurant down entertainment avenue at the O2. The price per person for the food menu excluding drinks and dessert is £22 for meat, £18 for vegetarian, £12.50 for children(5−12yrs) and children under 5 are free. Passadors come to the table with an extensive range of different meats, like rump beef, pork, chicken thighs and chicken wrapped in bacon. The meat is cut off straight from a skewer and put onto your plate — you just tell them how much you want. You are also given a little round card which is used to say stop when you’ve had enough meat. You just turn it over when you’ve stuffed yourself enough and they stop coming to your table. The buffet of vegetables and salad is amazing. The dishes range from couscous, fried banana crockett’s to gherkins and pasta salad. There is a wide variety of sauces and dressings to compliment all the food. There is a full bar of wines from around the world, cocktails, spirits, champagne and soft drinks. The price for a glass is £3−8. As you tuck into your delicious dinner, you are entertained with a live band playing traditional Brazilian music. If your not too stuffed you can get up, shake a tail-feather, work off some of the meal and eat more again! Then once you’ve had enough to eat, why not have a dessert off the dessert tray which is rolled around from one of the passadors. They have cheesecakes, cakes, trifles and ice-creams. As i was too stuffed from the main meal, I could not bring myself to have one, but next time I’m not missing out as they all looked gorgeous. In all, I think for the price, you get enough food to last you for a week and you will never get bored as there is so much variety. This is a comfortable restaurant in a buzzing setting where you can enjoy a taste of Brazil in Greenwich.

I love this place! It’s situated in the O2, and I always make a beeline for it before a gig. Being a bit of a carnivore, the concept of unlimited good quality meat was always going to draw me to a restaurant. The basic idea is that you visit the buffet to stock up on salad, bread(try the little cheesy bread nuggets, melt in the mouth!) and rice. You are then give a card with a red and green side. Place the card with the green side facing up to let the waiters know you’re hungry, and the red side up to tell them you’re full. You’ll then have a variety of waiters offering you sirloin steak, cumberland sausage, chicken wings, fish and many different varieties. They carve the meat off for you at the table. It’s around £22.50 each, about the same price as most buffets. Delicious, excellent service and a great way to keep everyone in the family happy!

I went there with a friend on a late Saturday afternoon and we ate continuously for 1.5 hours. The food(mostly meat for us) was that good. :) It wasn’t busy and they did a good job of making sure that our plates were never empty.

I was introduced to Rodizio Rico by my Brazilian friend. We actualy went to the Islington. It was a veritable feast indeed. You have a choice of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes. An enormous salad bar and delicious nugget shaped balls of warm garlic bread. The waiters attend to you at your table bring various grilled meats straight to your plate, including tender Brazilian steak. I went there two years for my birthday and a had a wonderful eating experience. My cousin and his two friends — one from Sweden and one from New York were stuffed. I f you have any room left, I would encoourage you to try a Brazilian dessert. They are indeed special.

Took the family(11 people) out for a meal at the weekend, and was recommended this place by my boss. 30 mins before we got there the restaurant called me to check we were still attending. Went in and was seated straight away, it was very busy. The salad bar was massive and well stocked. The place was very clean and the staff friendly And for the food, the food is amazing, could not believe the selection, I ate more that day than ever before in my life. Only gripe would be that the tables are a bit close together, but that’s I guess just cause they are so popular.

I first visited the Rodizio Rico located in Angel, and although I enjoyed the experience, it does not compare to the newly open one located in Greenwich. It is a Brazilian style restaurant and is full of Brazilian flare. There is a salad buffet, which also contains hot dishes. However, various types of meat are served by waiters off giant skewers. the meat is mouth-watering and the style of this restaurant allows you to try a variety of meats Please, for your own good, do not miss this experience, and indulge for once the right way! If you have visited the restaurant, you will know exactly what I mean, BUT, if you have not, then what are you waiting for?
