Great place for a breakfast, good portions. Coffee is excellent. The wait staff is hit or miss and they only take cash.

I was working in Maida Vale for a week this month and visited Roma’s Café every morning for cappucinos and pastries. The environment is warm and sunny, perfect for meeting up with a friend, reading, or putting in a little work. It seem to be a popular place for people in the neighborhood to stop in on weekend mornings. The wi-fi is free but the circular café tables are not well-suited to sitting for many hours on a laptop. All of the staff were friendly and remembered our orders after just a couple visits which made it feel like a little home-away-from-home.(And, yes, there is soy milk!)

good coffee, bland food and a bit pricey. the food was not fresh at all, with a lot of tinned food used. Expensive but don’t take cards.

I think I came here on an off day. 1. Toilet handle was broken 2. Cookie I bought was rock solid. 3. They took our order wrong and never brought us a mocha 4. The orange we bought was not good at all. It was not juicy and did not taste good. Its a cute little place and seems like it would have equally cute food, but meh… I was not impressed with this place.

I was on my way to Maida Vale tube, wanted to get off at Oxford Circus to check out one of my favourite coffee shops, but then when I walked down the road, I spontaneously decided, that I can just stay there for some time for a sandwich, a coffee and some reading. I sat down at one table inside, that was just behind the open window. A good place on a warm day. I don’t really mind sandwiches being unimaginative, as long as they taste good. And my sandwich was really fine. The coffee, well, was okay. I liked this place, also nice staff, and also some beautiful(French) pictures or posters on the wall.

Quaint little café that serves up a decent full English breakfast — I don’t dare order one of my own, so in typical girl fashion, I usually get the vegetarian breakfast(which swaps the bacon and sausages for half of a grilled tomato and a bit of baked beans, at the same price of £5.95 — sheesh!) and poach some of my boyfriend’s bacon. The croissants and pasties are pretty good, but the sandwiches are nothing to write home about. And £3.95 for a teeny glass of juice? Yowza. An extra star for the free wi-fi and making my cappucino with soy milk at no extra cost. Oh — and love the über-cool Miami Art Deco weekend posters that adorn the walls!

Nice café, nice location, ok coffee but terrible food menu. It really is a shame because it has a lot of potential. The sandwiches are extremely bland and unimaginative. They also have nice(over-priced) freshly-squeezed juices.
