Romna

The food here was bland for Indian food, the service was deplorable, and the atmosphere so nondescript and rundown there wasn’t much of value in dining here except the communal commiseration we experienced. The waiter was rude, forgetting one and screwing up two other orders, then blaming us for ordering the wrong thing. Repeated requests for drinks, condiments, and appetizers were made without apology or correction. The food was adequate at best, and given the glut of competition nearby there’s little reason to suffer through this overpriced and underserviced dining experience.

I used to live up the road from Romna and was excited to show friends the neighborhood, but good lord, I took 7 people here tonight and was embarrassed I did. While the food was good, the service was so bad that I would never return.
We had to beg for water, only receiving it when one of us walked right up to the bar, even though we had ordered quite a bit of alcohol (so there could be no excuse of we were being cheap), the waiter indignant when I didn’t want a starter, and then yelled at two of us when he got our order wrong. There were other small things, but I am getting angry again writing this, so I’m stopping
While the menu is diverse and the food decent, I haven’t had this bad of service in a long time, maybe ever.
