Because in general it was a pretty awful eating experience, I’m trying to start with the redeeming factors, which I can only think if two things — the food once ordered came pretty quickly and as we were hungry that was great — the bruschetta was nice enough — that’s all. The service was just slow and considering there were just two tables including ours, it was ridiculous that we had to constantly get their attention to ask to make our order. All the waiters seemed as if they’d rather be somewhere else, and had a «can’t be bothered» attitude. Food was pretty dire and tasteless — we had to add a bit of salt to all three of our dishes(even the pizza!) because everything was just so bland. The pizza was a very weird shape, like they’d made a mistake but couldn’t be bothered to prepare it again so tried twisting a piece of dough to the side. Considering I’ve eaten in a few other of their restaurants and I’ve never had this weird shaped pizza ever before, I felt like it was almost an insult, they couldn’t be bothered to serve me a proper pizza and just expected me to eat this doughy deformity they plopped in front of me. The cherry on top was the fact I felt quite sick after eating it & all throughout the night… Lovely…

Brian C’s review pretty much says it all. I can’t see that this branch is long for this world, being that there are several other choices in the O2. My food was inedible(undercooked pasta, blech). The staff were condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. The prices are way too high for the type of food and the setting. Don’t be fooled by a well-written menu and some interior design — this is a place to be avoided, and avoid it we shall.

Simply terrible. I don’t write a lot of one star reviews — after all, why would you go somewhere that was deliberately bad? But these places occasionally catch you unaware and fleece you of your money. We walked up and read the menu outside. Based on that we figured we’d give it a go. We were taken to our seat by one person, given a menu by another and our order was taken by a third. That should have been a red flag for a hideously overstaffed restaurant. The menu outside was also only half of the menu inside — again a detail which should have been a red flag. But you want to give places the benefit of the doubt, and you ignore those issues. The menu sounds good. Multiple things with n’duja sausage which is delicious. I order the Fru Fru pizza which has that, Italian sausage, smoked mozzarella and some other stuff. My wife ordered an n’duja pasta dish. We ordered two cokes and were offered tap water. My wife said no but I said I would like some — the water never came. So the cokes arrived. Two glasses, two bottles. The third member of staff pours one of the bottles into my wife’s glass and then before we say anything, into mine as well. Yep. Same bottle. I mean seriously, what the hell dude? So we have a full bottle and a one third full bottle. The pizza then arrives pretty quickly and the pasta immediately afterwards. Now this is concerning because yes, fresh pasta from having just been made does cook in minutes. But they make a thing out of their fresh pasta having been made in clay pots in Italy. So there’s no way that it’s really fresh — it just hasn’t been dried. That non-dried stuff takes just as long as a dried pasta to cook and this has been about four minutes. So not much surprise when it’s verging on raw. It’s not al dente– I’m not stupid, I know what that’s like, I’ve eaten pasta from local eateries in the back roads of Italy. This was straight from a packet, partly warmed raw. Now we played a game where five wait staff stood less than three meters away from the staff talking loudly and ignored my wife who had taken two bites and stopped eating. Eventually someone came over, and of course attempted to talk down to my wife as if she’d never had pasta before. I’ll leave out of the review what I wanted to say to him at that point. It was taken off the bill after she told him that it didn’t matter and it wasn’t to her taste. It wouldn’t have been to anyone’s taste either no matter what you try to claim about your«fresh» pasta. As for my pizza. It was fine. But only just — oh and they forgot the smoked mozzarella, but after the way that the waiter acted I chose just to eat the thing. They brought the bill. 12.5% service charge automatically added. They can go to hell with that. We paid in cash to the penny minus that charge. As we left they tried to be friendly and when I didn’t respond immediately switched to Italian and scowled at me as I left. The final thing was as we descended the escalator — we could see at least four of them counting the money on our table. Don’t be a fool. Eat from a bin if you have to, but don’t come here.

A mixed experience. Totally understand their focus on having Italian staff for the ambiance and authentic feel of the place, however it did make ordering a little bit of an ordeal. The food was pretty good, really enjoyed the pizza and they had a decent range of pizzas with their gluten free base. They messed up my order, although as soon as I told them they sorted it out, bringing me the right pizza straight away with multiple apologies. Nice surprise when we got the bill, they knocked 20% in way of saying sorry. Overall decent experience taking into account how they made amends.

This is a restaurant all about looks and streamlining food that isn’t real food or real service for that matter. The service was sloppy, vague but friendly at least. I was asked for the same order by three different waiters and when my food finally arrived… Yuck!!! The tiny meatballs tasted deep fried my pasta was chewy not al dente and the sauce taste like tomato purée out of a can. The«homemade» bread which it clearly isn’t came with nothing… I had to ask for something like olive oil. Major disappointment… cleverly marketed, badly executed

Friendly staff and got to watch the World Cup on the large projector screen. The Fru Fru pizza we choice was nice but I would had prefer it to be warmer. Not sure if it has been sitting for a while before arriving to our table becuase it was got cold quickly. We finished the meal with dessert and choice Tortino Al Cioccolato. On the menu it is described as «Hot chocolate soufflé with a heart of dark chocolate» so was expecting light fluffy soufflé. However it was actually a chocolate fondant cake(or also known as molten chocolate cake) and that is what Tortino Al Cioccolato means. I thought the description was misleading.
