Excellent choice for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Friendly staff, good service and relaxed atmosphere. Best Nepalese chef this side of Katmandu!

What an amazing place! We had a huuge and delicious dinner on a Saturday evening. Despite that on Unilocal this resaurant is described as not accepting reservations, I decided to call and had no problem booking a table. The restaurant is very cosy with about 10 tables and was half full but I saw many people who came and ordered take away at the bar. The staff were very polite and attentive but not pushy and gave us all the time we needed to choose.
We had the veggie momo (amazing slightly spicy dumplings) and some plain and spicy papadums, the latter came with tasty chutneys. My boyfriend got the chicken korma and I ordered prawn masala — both delicious with creamy sauces. We also ordered the staffed paratha and basmati fried rice as sides which we ate with whatever was left from the chutneys. All that was digested with some white house wine (me) and a Cobra.
Dinner was great and we were not interrupted by waiters clearing plates, they gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. We left full (to the brim) with warmess in our stomachs (from the spices) and in our hearts (from the great time we had).
I would definitely be coming back and reccommending this place!

Mmmm hello local, friendly, tasty Indian restaurant and take out. I just got a take out and it was gorgeous. An amazing chicken dansak! As was the peshwari nan and popadoms. Would definitely go back.

LOVE this place. Great food, very friendly staff. Order from here loads and its always great, I have also eaten in the resturant and its top notch. Consistently great food.

I love this place, main courses are a little pricey compared to the norm, but the portions are massive if you order a take away.

Situated in Blackheath, this is a really convenient place to visit and makes a change from the normal range of foods available in Indian restaurants (although they are able to provide a lot of bnorth indian dishes and can often cater to individual requests with a bit of notice to them). We found the restaurant to be light and attractively decorated with a lovely relaxing ambience. The Nepalese staff are absolutely lovely, a real pleasure to chat to and really welcoming and geuniunely pleased to see us and talk to us (without in any way being overbearing). We mainly stuck to vegetarian dishes here, but loved the meat mo mos that were available and their take on traditional dal bhaat tarkari dishes were exceptionally well flavoured and tasty. Service as i say was efficient and friendly, and we will definitely come back here again. Prices also were very reasonable for such an enjoyable meal. Lovely.
