Everest cooks delicious, fresh Nepalese and Indian food at reasonable prices(free local delivery for take aways over £15). It’s hard to find really good Indian and Nepalese food, even in London. So many places seem to rely on buckets of sauce labelled ‘red’, ‘green’, and ‘yellow’ and substitute chillis for flavour. The dishes at Everest taste completely home-cooked. The spinach is bright and fresh, the aubergine melting, the lamb tender and the spice combinations scrumptious. Main courses £8(lamb, chicken, veggie) -£12(seafood) and side dishes(almost as large as the main dishes) £3 — £4. To get this quality in another cuisine(French, Italian, etc) you would have to pay twice as much. The lamb with mint and the aubergine bhaji are particularly deserving of attention.
