We liked it so much we ate there twice on our 6 day trip to London from the US. Each dish was well presented, very flavorful, and properly prepared. Meats were tender, sauces were tasty without being overdone, and the breads were fluffy and yummy. We had a total of greater than 6 different dishes and loved them all. We frequent Indian restaurants in the US and I recommend a visit next time you are near Trafalgar Square or Piccadilly Circus. Truly worth it.

Decent value for fairly good food. Panir app was a little too dry but nicely crispy and it perked up with yogurt-mint sauce. Prawns app was pleasantly spicy in a tomato sauce. Dal Makhani was rich and tasty though on par with other average places for this dish. Ordered lamb chops but unfortunately got lamb shish kebab instead. This was disappointing because we wanted meaty pieces, not lamb-burger. The kebabs were overly spiced to the point of obliterating the lamb flavor. I didn’t complain as our time was short. Bottle of house red wine was fair — nothing special but ok for price. Décor was simple and sparse. Bottom line: decent enough place for a pre-theater meal but definitely not a destination restaurant. Not worth a second visit.

Dropped by for an early dinner after a visit to the National Gallery. The food was great. My friend and I had poppadoms and chutney to start which were really good. We ordered a whole bunch of starters to share and we actually ordered too much(4 starters and a peshwari naan). Highly recommend the chilli prawns

First meal in London and it did not disappoint. This casual restaurant is bright and clean offering hospitable service. The lamb and chicken dishes were extremely tender and while the seasoning was mild, it was enough to satisfy. The naan was fresh but I didn’t like that the dough was not crisp at the edges and had no air pockets which make a gorgeous and delicious piece of flat bread. What was ordered: Malai Chicken Boti(appetizer) Boneless chicken breast marinated in cardamom, cream and green chillies. — So tender and delicious Grilled Lamb Chops(appetizer) Lamp chops, chargrilled to perfection and served with mint chutney. — Very tender and flavorful Grilled boneless chicken tikka simmered in a mild creamy tomato sauce.(entrée) — Delicious but the spices were very mild Onion and garlic Naan — Flavorful but didn’t have the air pockets I was hoping for Cheddar Cheese Naan — Strong in cheese flavor and probably better paired with a spinach dish A light dinner for two: Two appetizers, one entrée, two orders of naan, and two drinks for dinner will set you back about 45GBP($ 65) What you need to know: — Book via Opentable for special discounts. Right now there’s ½ off starters and entrees. I missed out by one day — Open late — Easy to find

Had chicken butter Masala… medium heat .but was not that hot. But you just never know until you eat at place few times. Tasty. Good naan. Nice little place with friendly service. First time I had Indian food with bones and all… wasn’t lots of meat but some wasn’t cooked(raw) so they made me another and didn’t charge me. Great customer service.

Great traditional #Indian & #Pakistanese food with a touch of modernism added to it! Service is also very good. Awesome experience right next to Leicester Square!

Great find near Leicester Square! Every dish was spot on. Loved the Chicken Karahi, which was recommended after I asked for something spicy. The Dal Makhani was creamy and complex. Service was good.

Absurdly good. Best Samosa, best Naan, best Tikka Masala I’ve ever had. Sitting here sweating after the meal… And loving it!

Salt N Pepper is hands down the best Indian and Pakistani Food I have ever had. The staff treated me and my friends visiting from out of the country like family. I went twice on my recent visit to London, and both visits were stellar. Out of the seven dishes we tried, they were all incredibly delicious. The tikka masala was amazing, the naan was on point, and every vegetable dish we had was perfection.

Great food, no complains there. I love their barbeque kebabs. They are a little cheeky when it comes to service charge, they just added it without notifying us. No complains about the food. Must try their chicken cheese burger, it’s absolutely delicious

Very nice service and pleasant space. This is the first time I’ve had Kingfisher on tap so that was nice too. The potato samosas were tasty and hot… the chicken jalfrezi was also very good but not especially spicy even though it was listed on the menu with the«two peppers» symbol. All in all a very good place for lunch.

My husband and I love going to Tayyabs but figured we should try somewhere new for a change and this sounded quite comparable — also with an opentable deal — 50% off when you order a starter and a main. It was a bit of a gamble taking a friend in town when we haven’t tried the place ourselves but thought it was a really good centrally located place and of course — good Unilocal reviews! At the moment, it’s in the middle of all the construction around Leicester Square — which now seems like a really quiet street. We ordered the lamb samosas, lamb chops and lamb seehk kebabes as starters — all which came out amazing. Comparing it to Tayyabs — pretty good! Actually prefer some of the dishes here. Felt a lot more fresh with more herbs and spices. For our mains, we had the chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh, and the chicken biryani along with an sorted bread basket. When all of the food came out, at first I thought the portions looked quite small but we were so stuffed we asked to take what was left to go. So happy to find this place — will definitely be back!

Waiter didn’t ask what we would drink. Waiter walked away while I was ordering. Never checked on us to see how we were doing but checked in on others many times. Food wasn’t great. It was also fairly expensive.

This is the best Pakistani food I have eaten while in London. I would actually say that it is the top meal of this trip. Tucked in a back corner behind Leicester Square, this unassuming restaurant features traditional fair. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka and their spicy lamb dish.

I came here for dinner last night after a comedy show. We were looking for restaurants in the Covent garden/Leicester square area with an offer on, which seemed like an unlikely task. However, this place was on tablepouncer and opentable with a 50% offer which is pretty damn good for central(we booked with opentable because tablepouncer charges a £5 booking fee for the same offer — just as an FYI). We booked for 8.45 and there was only one other party in there. We were told that for the 50% off you had to order a starter and a main each, but that suited us down to the ground. We ordered the amb somosas and the shami kebabs for starter and chicken tikka masala and korma for mains. I found all of it very spicy, especially the starters and the masala. I thought I’d be safe with a korma as they’re meant for wimps right? But this one was still pretty spicy. We also got 2x rice and a naan with a beer and a coke and the whole thing came to £38 which is a steal(it would have been £65). The staff were okay but our waiter had the voice of a mouse and seemed to whisper everything. I see why they run this offer, because the restaurant is on a back street off Leicester square so you would only find it if you know about it. However, I would recommend giving it a go, only if you have the offer.

Went after buying 4 for £16 cocktail deal through timeout expecting it to be a cocktail bar It’s actually a rather badly decorated Indian restaurant However staff were friendly and we were seated straight away There was a theatre menu and as we were going to see made in Dagenham they allowed us to do that! So we ended up paying £10 for a starter and main each and shared them all Starters were a bit weird; we went for paneer tikka and a poppadum salad which were both nice but nothing amazing Then saag gosht and chicken tikka masala which were both really good! Cocktails were average! Very sweet tasting and not what I expected because of the time out offer Overall an odd experience. Food was good though so I would go again if I fancied a curry and couldn’t get in to dishoom!

We cam across this place online after looking for a thai or indian restaurent last night. We made a reservation online that even cam with half off for startes and mains, saving us 31.95(!) Staff was friendly and took the time to help us decide what to order as we had never eaten at a Pakistani restaurent. We ordered 3 starters and 3 mains for the 3 of us and it was just about the right amount. The restaurant was at the end of Orange Street which is under construction so if you take a cab, he may not know where you want to go, or think there is a restaurant there. Good lighting, unpretentious and casual atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

Lahore comes to London! We finally get to have some of the excellent Pakistani food you can usually only find by going to Pakistan. I am a bit of a snob about Pakistani food and have a hard time finding Pakistani/Indian food in London that I think is worth paying for. I know someone who is a fan of the Salt n’ Pepper branch in Lahore and pointed me to the London location and I am so glad they did! The lamb seekh kabobs were piping hot and very good and the chappli kabobs were great. I really enjoyed the tasty spices and flavouring of the karahi chicken, and I was very happy to wipe up every last bit of sauce with the excellent roghni naan. I have tried the saag aloo and the zeera aloo, both of which were nice although not as exciting as the karahi chicken. I think the saag aloo wins over the zeera aloo because of the edge the fenugreek gave it. The service here is very helpful and quick and the restaurant itself is spacious and clean. The food is not too cheap and the portions are not large, but considering this is Leicester Square, I think it is decent value. I am definitely coming back here as the menu has so much more I’d like to try and I want to see what the talented chef does with it!

Went for a few different dishes and wasn’t disappointed by any of them. The absolute highlight was the Saag & Methi chicken. Just the right amount of heat along with very juicy chicken. It went really well with both the rice and the naan I ordered to accompany it. The tikka was also very tasty with the flavour of the yoghurt still discernible and not dry at all. For the starters I can recommend both the Papri Chaat and the vegetable samosas as I enjoyed each of them as much as the other. All round a great meal and I can’t wait to go back to try some more!
