This is not a gourmet restaurant. This is an american restaurant-style place. And a good one! The chickenburger could have been more spicy, but the pizza was great. The place is nice, they have clean toilets(NOT a granted) and service was great(Thank you, Marco!) Safe choice!

Very disappointing. We ordered the nachos to start, and they were basically inedible, worse than convenience store nachos. The hot dog and burger were better, but still not good. The salad was also disappointing, and the prices were expensive for what we got.

A-ok. This is like a Johnny Rockets mixed with Apple bees and chili’s. They have the usual staples for English food. We tried the burger — well done is the only way they serve here and the meatball appetizer which was not italian style but still decent. Also tried their waffle with toffee sauce. Very tasty!

Poor service small portion sizes and lack of any type of customer service. Despite me asking multiple times for refills and my meals they keep saying«yeah yeah yeah it’s coming.» And we ordered a veggie burger and an omelet. That takes 5 freaking minutes at most! And we watched as people who sat after we were seated walk away after enjoying their meal and paid their bills. The manager(after I got up and actively seeker him out) apologized multiple times and gave us our meal on the house, which I thought was an excellent gesture. The food… it was great(before I knew it was on the house I thought so!). Better hospitality than paris or Rome!

We came in a few minutes before their official lunch time, so they gave us the breakfast menu, although it did have a few lunch options on the back. After our entire party ordered lunch meals 20 min after their official lunch time, you would think that they would have given us their full menu, or have told us of those options. Instead we saw other people receive the full lunch menus and order plates that we would have rather had. I ordered a veggie wrap, but wanted to add chicken. I specifically asked if they had grilled, not fried, chicken and our waitress said yes. When we got our food, I had hard pieces of fried chicken in it. I had to flag the waitress down 10 min after beginning to eat to ask her what the deal was. I asked again if they had grilled chicken, and she again again said yes. So I showed her the chicken that i was picking out of my meal, and that it was fried. She then went into a short story of how they would have had to grill a entire breast just for me. So I took all the chicken out and she just removed the extra chicken fee from my bill. Besides that, the food was not great. Their coleslaw was disgusting, I suggest not trying it. As an American, I would say that they were almost as bad as a Denny’s. The people who worked there were very cold as well.

Horrible burgers. The onion is raw and the meat itself is super chewy and just tasted off. The coleslaw is weak and the fries were ehh. The pizza at this place wasn’t so bad though. I had the bbq pizza and a original burger. The place is pretty expensive so I definitely left unsatisfied. Im not feeling Garfunkels at all.

After some dissapointments found this place with good meals done to the order, friendly atmosphere and service. Pricing seems reasonable too, at least for being in the heart of Londons Westend.

During my trip to London this place was a staple for lunch and dinner for both myself and my husband. It has all of the usual«continental» fare that can keep anyone satisfied – fries, burgers, fajitas, omelettes, shakes, coffees etc. plus a rather shoddy and boring salad bar for picky eaters. SInce I’m a picky eater, I mostly went for the jacket potatoes, which were superb. A «safe» choice to get you through a craving. Not gourmet, definitely fast-foodish and TGIFridaysish, but passable.

I offer this British chain a 2.5 stars on a few accounts: The«meh. I’ve experienced better» is true on all levels if I were to compare this establishment to restaurants back in the states in San Francisco or NYCHOWEVER, in London, Garfunkels was sadly enough my saving grace. When I was running around a chilly London, growling stomach in tow, searching for a place to eat and having found only extremely questionable restaurants, those red signs would save my night. Garfunkels are in every remotely popular spot in London. Their options are safe and almost never have a wait. On the menu, I tried the chili over rice, which oddly enough isn’t as weird as it sounds. I have also had the lasagna, another safe option. Overall the service is decent, and having a dinner there is reasonable. We paid no more than 25 quid. Let’s face it, if London was half as popular for its food among other famous metropolitan cities as it was in the financing and publishing world then there wouldn’t be a need for so many of these comfortably mediocre restaurants. So if you are in a lack of better options Garfunkels will suit you, but don’t expect the world.

There are a few garfunkels in and around london, all with the same menu however thats where i feel the similarities end. I had a great, pleasant experince in the Piccadily one that decided to try this one. However whilist the food was just as good the staff were not as friendly and unfortunaty given the location of this it can get very busy and you can be made to feel like they are rushing you out o get more people in. Still a good place to eat just i personally prefer the quiter one
