I went to Scin in Great Portland Street. the facial was okay and reasonably priced but the manicure was a disaster. the indian therapist clearly knew nothing about filing and applying varnish, let alone cuticle remover– which the snoby receptionist assured me they do remove cuticle. the therapist had no clue of how to file or remove cuticle and the nail colour I have on now is like my little sister had applied it never will go there again never recommend it horrible experience

The only massage where I’ve ever felt that it was weird a stranger was touching me… The first thing you need to know about Scin is that it’s a hefty walk from Notting Hill tube station, at least 15 minutes and bring a good Google map because the road splits and is very confusing. When I entered Scin the first thing I noticed was how white it was, a touch too sterile. I think I felt weird about the massage because the staff were very brusque and a little more snooty than I like my beauty therapists to be. I find it can be hard to relax when you think you’re being judged! The therapy rooms at Scin are very snug, so much so that the table had to be arranged diagonally to fit. You also have to leave your clothes on the floor because there is no chair. The massage was fine, nothing life altering and unfortunately not good enough to make me trot over there again. Afterwards I was all but ejected out onto the street as it was close to closing up time. No further discussion or hopes that they would see me again, just thanks, bye! Next time I’ll go back to Neal’s Yard, pleasant staff who take an interest in their customers.

Indulgence and beauty, to words that go intertwined, at least for me; this place is a sanctuary for both! This is a day SPA that took me out of my gray rainy day walking around Notting Hill. I decided if I was to keep on walking I needed my feet to be happy, so I chose the much needed pedicure of the list of services they offer, not to say that I wasn’t tempted to get a hydro massage or maybe the quick spray tan, so I could walk out of the SPA like I had been 1 week in St.Tropez. The service is really amicable, and my pedicure was a delight, 30 min long my feet where filed, soaked, cuticle push back, moisture and painted with my favorite nail lacquer OPI, it came to £25, which is pretty much standard. If you go check out the specials, they have really good packages.

really love this place. I had a massage, which was very relaxing, and my therapist was lovely and looked after me really well. I then had a pedicure upstairs in the boutique, which made my feet feel and look like new. Scin is very friendly and everyone seemed to be made to feel really welcome. I would definitely recommend this spa.
