This place I happened upon as my friend found that they did a quiz. The place is up some stairs, through some doors and is basically a room with a bar. The place reminded me of a working men’s club, in the best way possible, the alcohol was cheap, they had a pool table and the people doing the quiz have probably been doing it for 20 years. If you are up for a bit of daring to find it and walk in on lots of regulars drinking, it is worth finding it. You probably won’t win the quiz, it was stupidly hard.

Located in the heart of Seven Dials, this hidden gem is a really great place to either have a meeting to to just go grab a pint. There are several comfy couches to lounge on or if a booth or table is more you style, they have plently. As this is a community club, it can get a bit crowded with the amount of activities taking place. On one occasion, there was a choir group rehearsing, a study group meeting and our group trying to have a meeting. Suffice to say, it was difficult to hear. But if you’re coming more for the food, which is delish by the way, or to have a drink, you should be fine.

The Seven Dials Club is the reincarnation of itself after a fire shut its doors in 2000. The club reopened its doors this year to the public. As a visiting Yank to London(American) I was brought to the Seven Dials Club as a guest by two former members Steve and Terry who were pleased that the Seven Dials Club had returned. What I especially liked about the club was how clean and comfortable the club was offering very comfortable black leather couches and booths to sit on and enjoy good conversation with my friends. There is also a pool table and works of art on the wall by local artists. There’s a bar offering several choices of ales and stouts and bar food for sale incase you get hungry. The night I attended, former mayoral candidate and current MP Frank Dobson was in attendance, he awarded us 6 free dinners for being the winners of a trivial pursuit contest that is held every Monday. The Seven Dials Club is an alternative to the local pubs in the covent garden area and also offers public space for rent for large parties and celebrations.
