Seriously don’t advertise that It is a 24 hour place when it is not. We walked a long way to grab food and to reject us is false advertising. I hope your business feels the cold we felt walking to your place and not being allowed to order food. Horrible. And treated us like assholes. I wish I could choose zero stars.

I went here with an old friend of mine. I really liked the décor and the intimacy of the resteraunt. The waiting staff were good at leaving us to chat and were polite at trying to wait until we had stopped gassing! Expensive but worth it, The lamb shanks I had were to die for and they have nice cocktails. I would love to have a romantic meal here with the hubby its perfect and private.

Was a little unsure about this restaurant after having phoned to confirm my online booking. The response was rather mumbled and abrupt and not particularly welcoming. We found it a little difficult to find. Once in the hotel, which we found ok, there were no signs to point us in the direction of the restaurant. Having walked into the bar and back out again, only to see a sign hidden behind people queuing for another event, we stepped in. The restaurant itself has, I assume, retained the courtroom furnishings with waiting staff stood behind the judges table and various other stands being turned into dining areas. It isn’t a large eating area, possibly 15⁄20 tables and most set up for couples. The ceiling decoration is amazing and it is a quaint, interesting dining area. You do sit there trying to imagine all the original pieces being used in the original way. We were told we could sit wherever. The waiting staff were waiting staff. Nothing special or particularly friendly. A mix of different fusions on the menu with a variety of dishes to choose from. The Tilapia Fish starter wrapped in leaves was delicious and certainly could have eaten more. It was succulent and served with a little sauce. Yum. I opted for the noodle dish for main. This was tasty although nothing spectacular in compared to my starter. No dessert here as there was nothing to take my fancy. I loved the décor and the glassware of this restaurant. I think the staff could make more of an effort to make this a really cool place to come for dinner.

Michelin-recommended restaurant, Silk, is located at the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton in what was once the Great Marlborough Street Magistrates Court, which witnessed the trials of Oscar Wilde, Mick Jagger and John Lennon. Today the stars on trial are Silk’s fusion dishes inspired by the historic Silk Route of Asia. The verdict? Awesome, innovative and intriguing. Highlights include Kalimiri Bademiya beef dish, blueberry sorbet and deep fried banana spring rolls. For fascinating flavours in a unique setting, Silk is an excellent restaurant to keep in mind. It’s especially good for romantic dinners and special occasions.

Silk was one of the coolest places we have been in London. It is small but incredibly amazing location inside the Doubletree hotel. The lounge outside was an old jail and you can sit and drink the renovated cells. The food was great, the menu was unique and the drinks was excellent. The staff was extremely attentive and its set inside an old courthouse, which is just such a perfect place to sit and have a meal with a loved one or a group. We took out a large group of clients and had an excellent time, even if we were a little squished in one of the barrister areas.

A friend took me to dinner here recently on a special deal from toptable. The restaurant, housed in a former courtroom, is cozy and warm with only around 20 tables max. We had delicious starters of succulent deer and grilled scallops on artichoke bottoms — yum, followed by the most delicious salt marsh lamb and a very tasty, tender but not outstanding steak. The service was attentive with great attention paid to explaining the complexities of each dish. My friend was annoyed that we were asked if we would leave our table after just an hour and a half. Turns out he wanted to ask me to be his special girl with a ring and everything! Surprise I said maybe.
